Description for Datsun Z-Series 1976
1976 Datsun 280Z, 32K Miles. SURVIVOR absolutely defines this car. This four-speed S30 Z was recently purchased by myself, from the original owner of 41 years. My intention was to sort it out after being stored for several years, and get it to a proper collector. It is very original, VERY LOW MILES, ORIGINAL PAINT, ZERO BODY RUST, MATCHING NUMBERS, original glass, unmolested, immaculate original interior that still smells new. There are no cracks in the dash, no splits in the vinyl, and very clean carpets. It was always garaged, and never driven in foul weather. It includes original Window Sticker, manuals, dealer invoices, original dealer brochure, and the original tool kits. Everything works, including the clock. Service and upgrades: New KYB strut inserts, vintage Mulholland sway bar kit, Performance T/C rod kit, new exhaust tail section, new polyurethane steering rack bushings, wooden shift knob, tune-up, brake service, new fan clutch, new fuel pressure regulator, excellent Kumho tires. Other original parts included with the sale: Original sway bar set, original fan shroud, original "green top" shift knob, original steering rack bushings, original exhaust tail section. Flaws: Missing tailgate outer trim seal ($40 available part), some hazing of the original clear coat on sides of the car visible only in bright sunlight, fuel door amateur repaint, fade of clear coat under the fuel door from fuel spillage, about six dime and quarter sized door dings around the car that could be perfectly repaired with PDR not involving any paint work, some small stone chips, very small split in underside of front right bumper rubber, small dings on edge of one hubcap. Note: The car was rust-proofed at the dealership when new, and the contract paperwork is included. Stone-guard paint was applied to the rockers to prevent rust and stone chips. The car was ordered as a base model with no A/C, and no dealer-added side bumper strips. VIDEO: Watch the included video demonstrating a walk-around, a startup showing the perfect oil pressure, and a magnetic body test to show that the car is all original metal with no bondo or body filler anywhere. This is an HONEST survivor from an original owner of 41 years! that had always focused on preservation of the car. Nothing to hide here. It's a real beauty, that starts and drives perfectly, brakes perfectly, and handles amazingly well. Collect, Drive, Race, or Show. This car can do it all. Go ahead and search the web for another Z, this original, with only 32K miles, original paint, clean dash, and window sticker. You would be hard pressed to find another survivor like this. Buy now before the prices climb even further. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns. I will take and share additional photos on request. THANKS! I will not accept shady forms of payment. CASH is king. Willing to work with buyer to arrange global transport.
