Description for Datsun Z-Series 1973
For sale is this 1973 Red Datsun 240Z - Z Series 240 - Runs - Project 240 Z - Matching Numbers
Up for sale is this Red matching number 1973 Datsun 240Z. Time and weathering has turned this car blood red orange and has returned some of the metal to the earth (rust). Incredibly, after many years of sitting idle, we were able to get this classic back to running condition. As you can see in this video. https://youtu.be/vzk_MmSktts
It runs with an external fuel tank; the primary gas tank was disconnected before we got to it. The L24 engine sounds and runs pretty good for how the car looks. The twin Webers, obviously not stock seem to be functioning just fine. The brakes and transmission are not currently operating. You can move the stick through the gears but beyond that we don't know how it's doing. The brakes I'm sure need almost everything.
The car is what I would describe as original, rusty and mostly complete. It's a project, but for those restoring Zs out there, this is a good place to start. You have a matching numbered car (dash vin, firewall, engine plate, engine block and even has color code 110 on the front support) with all the plates and a manual transmission. The bad is the rust in the usual places, battery tray, floor, etc. Some good is that it looks to be... I think... original paint. So, you see all the worst damage and it isn't hiding behind the bondo cloak.
You can see the welds in the fenders and under the rear bumper. No evidence of a major accident is present. There are of coarse minor dents and dings but, I think that someone who is good with metal will be able to bring this back to life. We are offering this at a price to sell. If you have any questions or would like to see the car in person, we welcome it all. To talk to us in person you can call the shop line at (425) 556-0261.
We are a Washington Dealer and our number is 8204. We have a clean title in hand, the mileage reads 47,813 but we have no documents to back this up and the car is sold as is. If you need help shipping the car we can give you some good options or set it up for you. No document or hidden fees. We will sell worldwide. Shipping to be paid by buyer.
