Want to own a real eye catcher ?! What a value it is at the reserve price which is set very low ! In 1970 the first boat load of 240Z's left the Datsun Factory in Hiratsuka. Japan bound for import to the United States. Nobody could have expected that this little Japanese 2 seater would radiacally change the idea of an afforadble sports car forever. The designer. Yoshihiko Matsuo. took design inspiration from the Ferrari GTO and Jaguar E-Type to create the cars gorgeous flowing body lines that would remain unchanged for almost 10 years. Yes this is one BEAUTIFUL RESTORED 1972 Datsun 240Z Coupe which NEVER fails to turn heads. Thousands and thousands of dollars and many. many. many hours were spent on the maintenance and restoration of this car !! We recently purchased this Z from the previous Idaho owner who said he was the second owner and as you can tell it was his pride and joy for sure !! He also stated that the miles were the actual - original miles at 62. 53 since brand new but we have no way of proving it. Just look at this thing though !! It also retains it's correctly mounted - FACTORY ORIGINAL - Datsun driver's door jam mounted data plate. correctly mounted - FACTORY ORIGINAL - Datsun right front shock tower mounted data plate and it's - FACTORY ORIGINAL - dash mounted VIN tag. all of which are shown in several pictures below !! This is the NICEST 240Z I have seen in a long time. TOO COOL !! I drove this BEAUTY for the last several days as my everyday driver to and from the office and running errands as needed and I assure you it runs and drives EXCELLENT !! At the heart of this Z car is the ORIGINAL NUMBERS MATCHING - STRONG - CODE "L24" - 2. 4 Liter Inline Six Cylinder Dual Overhead Cam motor in it and it is running very well indeed. The motor also sports its ORIGINAL intake manifold. nbsp;ORIGINAL exhaust manifold. nbsp;ORIGINAL valve cover. nbsp; ORIGINAL air cleaner housing and the ORIGINAL Hitachi side draft carburetors. Sounds GREAT too with the "Throaty" factory style exhaust system with dual chrome tips. The engine is backed by a - SMOOTH - four speed manual transmission which also functions very well. The BEAUTIFUL 240Z Butterscoth Diamond stitch vinyl bucket seat interior is ALL NEW including VERY NICE NEW Butterscotch vinyl front full bucket seats. VERY NICE ORIGINAL Black center console. nbsp;VERY NICE NEW Black dash cover with NO CRACKS. VERY NICE ORIGINAL factory gauge clusters. VERY NICE Billet Chrome Datsun sport steering wheel. VERY NICE NEW Matching Butterscotch vinyl door panels. VERY NICE NEW Black carpeting. VERY NICE NEW Butterscotch vinyl headliner and VERY NICE ORIGINAL Black Vinyl sunvisors. The GORGEOUS - Silver Metallic exterior finish is EYE POPPING BEAUTIFUL with really little to no wear showing other than a few small chips and imperfections and is still bright and shiny and looks STUNNING as you can clearly see in the video above and pictures below. This Datsun is nicely equipped including factory power brakes with disc's on the front. factory gauge cluster including a tachometer and 160 MPH speedometer. factory power antenna which is no longer working. nbsp; factory trip odometer. factory power wipers. factory rear window defogger. good heater and defroster. factory manual choke. original style Astrosonix AM / FM / stereo radio which is no longer working. original day / night rear view mirror. original dual sport side view exterior mirrors. factory back-up lights. factory seat belts and the original clock which is no longer working. The CLEAN - SOLID - Rear hatch area is in GREAT shape and is equipped with a NEW black carpet liner and a full size spare tire. All of the black rubber weatherstripping is soft. supple and in good condition. I looked underneath and also included photos below. Again. nbsp;this is a NICE - DRY - SOLID - Idaho high mountain desert - western car and it shows !!
