This 1981 Delorean belonged to my late uncle and was owned by him since he purchased it in 1984. It was his pride and joy. and he was VERY meticulous about maintaining it. He kept records of every oil change and documented maintenance performed on the vehicle. He only drove the car to local car shows and the annual parades in and around Athens. Georgia (Please see the picture of my uncle in the Athens Banner Herald newspaper showcasing his car). He won many car shows over the years with his car as well. I am his niece and am selling this vehicle as part of his estate. and will do my best to describe it as accurately as I possibly can. I am not a mechanic and do not claim to be. but can tell you that he kept this car in pristine condition over the years. This car is a collectible and is in good used condition. The car has been in a garage and under cover since new. The seats and carpet are all original. The seats were covered to protect them with wool seat covers until two days ago when we removed them to take pictures. The passenger seat looks showroom new. as well as the original carpet and original floor mats. The driver's seat isn't in bad condition (just a little dry) and does not have any rips/tears in the leather. Please see the pictures. There is some cracking noted on the dash (see pics). This Delorean comes with the original spare tire that has never seen the road and is in showroom condition. It also comes with a tremendous amount of Delorean literature. as well as the ORIGINAL owner's manual. service manual. original factory keys. etc. Please see pictures. It also comes with a Delorean made car cover that will be included with the vehicle. I have only driven the car once and it handled extremely well! The car cranks right up and drives well. The tires and wheels are in excellent condition. This Delorean is an automatic transmission vehicle. My uncle removed the DMC sticker on the gear shift handle and replaced it with a silver dollar (see picture). The car is still under cover in a climate controlled garage and will remain there until it is sold to the lucky bidder. I have described this car as honestly as I can.
