Description for De Tomaso Other 1971
This is a 1971 Detomaso Pantera with a 351 Boss engine powering the car. The car is a Black car but Detomaso did not spay black from 71-74. So, this was an original Aqua green car and that color looks really beautiful on these cars. The Boss engine was installed and it is supposed to put out some real power. The car has been sitting and needs restoration. The car is complete with the Ac intact and all the covers and parts are with the Pantera. This car has its original carpet in the car with the exception of the drivers side mat. This is good for patterns that are not the same as the 1972 pre-l carpet patterns. The wheels have been replaced and the original wheels will come with the car. There are currently 3 available and we are looking for the 4th. This car has rust in the Left inner fender that needs to be addressed. The car does have several spots in it that can be repaired after stripping then repaint. The car has no evidence of an accident on the sheet metal. The floors are solid and the rockers are not showing any problems. The pipes that are on the car are the very rare Mind train free flow headers and glass packs. The left rear needs some welding on the exhaust pipe. This car is a 1 owner car that was bought new and maintained until the owners passing. The car comes with service receipts and the original purchase order from the Lincoln Mercury dealer.
The car has been sitting for years and the engine turns over. No attempts have been made to start this car and that will be done by the next owner. The steering wheel front cover fell apart when the car was moved and is a part of the package. There is no radio in the Pantera; even though it was equipped with one in the past. The car has its jack with it. This car is a 1971 titled vehicle with flat deck, and bumperettes.
