1987 Dodge RAM 150 Pick Up truck: Rare Vintage classic. country. farm. Is it a collector's item? Well. this 1987 Dodge Ram pickup is 27 years old. which makes it AACA eligible. which is really kind of cool. It's also a pleasure to drive with V8 power. good hauling torque. a sporty regular 8 foot bed/regular cab profile. and a clean smooth interior that's really rather remarkable all by itself. Before the big-rig-inspired Rams hit the market. this was Dodge's mainstay and what handsome trucks they were! The two-tone gold and brown combination on this particular Ram seems to emphasize its straightforward bodywork. You don't see many early Rams with eight foot bed capacity and that alone makes this one worthy of a closer look. and when you get closer you'll find that it's both very well maintained. Lightly used by one owner since 1998 - has been a weekend ‘around-town’ chore truck. Frame and undercarriage show little wear and or very small paint bubbling or indications of rust. Rear bed and wheel wells are intact. clean and sturdy. Chrome bumpers front and rear are in good shape. you don't have to worry about putting it to work straight away. And I have to admit. I sure like seeing the original RAM hood ornament out there leading the way. The comfortable interior is a real contrast to the Ram's working-class reputation and it's totally '80s in every way - with a Diawa AM/FM/Cassete stereo in the dash. The quality cloth bench seat offers a great deal of comfort. especially for their age. Surface and springs are in very good condition - clean with no tear. bare spots or protrusions). A sliding rear window help with summer comfort. You could use it as your daily driver. but it is still ready to work if needed. Chrysler's tried-and-true 318 cu in V8 provides decent torque and performance for this pickup. The engine has very low mileage. having been replaced in 1998. and the odometer shows actual mileage. It's quick to start and makes great V8 sounds while never seeming to work very hard to move the truck around. It's all stock under the hood and it's been a long time since we've seen one this clean; just check out the air cleaner and inner fenders! Regular maintenance means that it still runs very well and coupled to a 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission. fuel economy is decent (at least for a full-sized truck). The underside is original but that's not a bad thing when it's as clean and well-maintained as this Dodge. with a good exhaust system. all OEM components. Alloy wheels and 2 year-old radials (less than 500 miles wear) give it a sporty demeanor. with these showing very little to no wear on the radial tires. Very affordable and just coming into its own as a collectors' item. this neat Dodge offers practicality and fun in equal measure. • Good condition.
