Description for Dodge Challenger 1970

DON’T Miss this opportunity to own an amazing car for a great price !!! This is a 1970 Dodge challenger 4 speed finished with a 440 that has been Stroked to 493 cubic inches. The Engine has an eagle crank. Manley rods. SpeedPro pistons. Full roller valve train and Comp Cam with Crane 1. 6 rockers on top of Mopar Performance stage VI aluminum heads fueled by a Dominator 1050 carb on an M1 intake with Aeromotive fuel pump and Mallory Hyfire ignition which dyno tested at 695HP. All that horsepower flows through Hooker super comp headers and true 3” exhaust with Dual flow masters so it sounds intimidating and refined all at the same time. The power reaches the ground through a brand new center force dual friction clutch and a 3. 91 sure grip. The engine only has dyno time on it…. This car is solid with only a small amount of finishing work and dial in time needed to make it road ready such as integration of the hoods induction system to the Dominator carb and dialing in dual stage throttle linkages as example. The Interior is virtually all done with a new headliner. seat covers and front seat foams from legendary. although the left front seat bottom does have a small tear near seat adjuster from working on the car. The carpet has been replaced but does need to be finished and dash pad replaced to be complete. The rally cluster should also be restored. As you can see. I've got nothing to hide and will answer ANY questions you may have. I’ve owned the car for 15 years and have more parts and items available than I can list. If you are a serious buyer and interested in details. please email me for more information or send me a number to reach you and I will give you a call with any additional information you may need. This car is a monster and needs very little to be finished. I just don’t have the time to do it anymore. Please look at the pictures and see there are a couple of small spots here which need attention even though the body was done 8 years ago. ( please see the photos ) If you are looking seriously. you know E body cars are getting harder to find. let alone in a condition that is street ready right now like this one is. I’ve put the time and money into this to make sure it’s done properly and will run strong and true. the Engine alone would cost over $14000. 00 to build today. Although this is a Non number matching car which started as a 383 automatic. the conversion was done well and the car runs stronger than any 440 matching number car you will find. the 493 is a beast.
