Description for Dodge Charger 1973

RARE AND ALL NUMBERS MATCHING 1973 SE 400 HP CHARGER! LOADED WITH POWER SUNROOF. POWER WINDOWS. POWER BRAKES. POWER STEERING. AIR CONDITIONING. TINTED GLASS. DUAL RACING MIRRORS. AND MORE! How I came about finding this Charger is an interesting story in its own. It began like any car related story. Two buddies. talking about family. work. Football. etc. Then the car talk comes in to play. I was told initially about an old Charger that had been sitting on some farm land just east of Kansas City. A place that was so far off of the beaten path that no GPS would take me there. So here is where my journey began: That's correct. A simple image off of Google Maps. Originally I was told that it was believed to be a second generation Charger (68-70). So my Father and I loaded up and began our hunt. After hours of traveling down dirt and gravel roads. we finally had found what we were looking for. At first glance. we both knew that it was a third generation Charger which lead me to second guess our journey. This was of course until I noticed the Sunroof. So at this point. our curiosity was overwhelming. We immediately pulled in only to be greeted by one of the nicest eighty year old men you could ever meet. A gentleman by the name of Lee. After giving us permission to go ahead and check it out. Lee was kind enough to give us a complete run down of the Charger. This Charger came from the factory. loaded with options. It still retains its original numbers matching 400 High Performance (HP) motor as well as it's original transmission. The Charger also retains its original fender tag. door sticker. and VIN tag. As you will see located below. this was an original Red car with a White vinyl top. White stripe. and White interior. Here is a break down of the fender tag: WP29: Dodge Coronet. harger Premium 2 Door Sports Hardtop P3A: 400 260HP(net) 1-4BBL 8 CYL 1973 Lynch Road. MI. For example. the Vinly top did not wreak havoc on the roof of the car. The roof is completely solid. Surprisingly. the trunk is also completely solid. The reason why this is so surprising is because the deck lid appeared to have been open for quite some time. The entire trunk was filled with parts as well as years of leaves and outdoor debris. Once I got it home and cleaned out. I was pretty amazed that the inner wheel housing and trunk were just completely solid. The front and rear frame rails are also solid as are the doors. rockers. top sides of the quarters. tail panel. and rear valance. The fenders are also very solid with the exception of some minor pin holes. I would definitely save them. The worst areas of the Charger exist within the lower quarters and the floors. I believe the quarters you could get away with using patch panels but the floors will definitely need replaced as will the drivers side toe board. The stainless through out the Charger seems to be in great shape. All of the glass through out the Charger is also in great condition. The tail lights and both front grill pieces are in excellent condition. The Charger sits on what I believe are the original Rallys. They too are in excellent condition. Engine & Mechanical: I do have the original motor which is complete and was said to be fully operational when it was pulled. The reason it was pulled was for a professionally built 440 which I do have as well but I am not including it within this auction. If you have an interest in discussing the 440. just give me a shout. Along with the original 400 comes its 727. Which it too was said to be fully functional as well and was hooked up with the 440. The 727 was rebuilt and was said to have the same mileage on it as the 440 ("less than 200 miles"). I am missing the original AC setup as well as the radiator. What you see within the photos below. that is all that I have for the Charger. Interior: The interior is mostly complete minus the carpet and the original bucket seats. I do have the ability to buy a set of correct 73 Charger buckets so if this is something you would like to have. just let me know. This auction is for the car with out the buckets. The original center console is in great condition as is its trim plate. The original back seat does come with the Charger. The instrument panel. all of the electrical. dash. door panels. none of it seems like it has ever been messed with. I don't believe any of it has ever been molested. I will be evaluating all reasonable offers and I will in fact sell the Charger early as I do have it for sale "locally". My goal here is to sell the Charger. I strongly encourage anyone who is interested to please call or email to schedule a time to come check it out. I do have a clear title for this Charger. As always. good luck and happy bidding! Thanks. /p> 816-308-0351 Looking for another Mopar? I have a 1968 Sport Satellite as well as an all numbers matching 1969 Charger on eBay right now!
