Description for Dodge Charger 1972
This auction is for a 1972 Dodge Charger Rallye model. The Rallye package includes the Black Power Bulge Hood, pecial Striping, allye Wheels, mitation Louvers in the Doors, nd Special Tail Lamp Accents. Mileage is extremely low at 56,000 miles and this two owner car has been in the same family from new, wned by two brothers. Power is provided by a 340 engine with 4 speed trans, nd the VIN of the car is stamped on both. (numbers matching). In fact the engine and trans have never been out of the car for any reason. Rear axle is a 3:23 ratio. This was ordered like many musclecars were, ith no power steering to rob power and only manual drum brakes to keep the cost down. Only options were the buckets, onsole, nd rear window defogger. Car has always been inside and has not seen winter usage. Looking underneath tells that story, s the floorpans and all frame rail sections are rock solid, nd this car was undercoated when new. There was some rust repair to the left rear quarter panel at the very lower section, nd it has a few bubbles of rust there, ut extremely minor stuff. See the photos for a clear shot of this. Car was repainted once in Original FE5 Bright Re, nd I would classify it as driver quality, ot a show repaint...........nice, ut not perfect. Has a few spots on the right side quarter where the paint has some blemishes. Chrome bumpers have some blemishes as does all 40 year old chrome. Interior is very nice as the sheepskins you see in the one photo have been installed many years ago to protect the Bucket seats and the seats themselves have not a crack in them. Console is nice with no cracks and the optional pistol grip shifter is in nice shape. Carpet is somewhat faded, nd there are some cracks in the drivers door armrest pad (easily replaced).....other than that, he interior is in excellent condition and if you replace the carpet and armrest pad would be perfect.Car runs and drives perfect, uns well and doesn't smoke, ransmission shifts smooth with no problems. This car has never been abused or raced, nd has never been modified with tons of chrome or aftermarket parts. It has remained as the factory built it, nd has been driven and enjoyed on nice days. It has not been restored, nd outside of the one repaint, s an original Survivor quality car. It also has not been fluffed for sale or shoved full of bondo, o you can see exactly what you are getting. No known original parts are missing from this car, xcept for the wearable parts (Tires, xhaust, attery, tc). Car would make a super driver as is or be the easiest restoration you could ever undertake. Fender tags are there to prove the car is as it was built.Owner is a very busy businessman, nd as such, as contracted us to sell it for him. You will get to speak to him if interested but we are handling all questions as he is not always available to answer them as I am. Car will be made available to view upon request. Please, e serious, o sightseers. Reserve is private and will not be revealed, id what you think the car is worth.Any questions, all Jeff at 610-562-3626 10AM-10PM Eastern time please.
