Description for Dodge Daytona 1969
Vehicle OverviewDesigned to tackle the high banks of the NASCAR circuit the Dodge Daytona is an instantly recognizable American icon and one of the most sought after muscle cars ever produced. With its streamlined nose and trademark rear wing this particular example is one of the 503 ever made and has been fully documented in the Chrysler Registry which included a thorough inspection by renown Mopar historian Galen Govier. Included with the car is Govier's detailed 31 page report that authenticates this rare collector car. Ownership history shows this "Winged Warrior" had been carefully restored and well-kept by the same owner for the past 15 years. The accompanying documentation contains a broadcast sheet for another Daytona (according to Govier it is typical to find a broadcast sheet for another Daytona in the car) and some older photographs, ne of which is a very neat picture from 1971 of this Daytona next to a U.S. Air Force Jet! Finished in F6 Bright this Green Metallic Daytona is 1 of the 34 believed ever produced in this unique color and also is #136 of the 330 440-4BBLs' acknowledged in the Chrysler Registry. The 375 horsepower 440 Magnum big block was built for speed and is mated to a 727 Torqueflite automatic transmission with gears being selected by the factory chrome shifter. All of this power is transferred to the pavement by the Sure Grip differential and heavy-duty suspension. Inside the Daytona is a white interior with bucket seats and a Rally Gauge setup equipped with the famed Tic-Toc-Tach. This rare Mopar rolls on Chrysler Magnum 500 wheels that are wrapped with a set of Goodyear Polyglas wide tread tires. Well preserved over the years this Daytona is ready for show and go!
