Description for Dodge Ram 3500 1992

Dodge 1992 D350, E package club (extended) cab. 4 wheel drive. Desirable 1st generation 12 valve Cummin's engine. 4 speed automatic transmission with overdrive. Equipped with AC, nd cruise control. 4 wheel drive/transfer case works as it should. AM/FM cassette. White and Silver exterior, ray interior with captains chairs and fold up jump seats in the back. Headliner molding is cracked in the front corners (see photo). Small tear on drivers side seat (see photo). I'm a non smoker and the truck does NOT smell, owever there are some burn marks from a previous owner on the fabric trim on the doors and drivers seat. New headliner. Sliding rear window. Dash is in very good condition, o cracks. Tilt steering wheel. Power locks. Factory running boards and factory hood bug deflector. Goose-neck ball in bed. 276,064 miles. Mileage may vary slightly as I do use it occasionally. Clear title.
This truck is not my daily driver. Usually used to haul light loads from the lumber yard for my personal remodeling projects or if the road was really bad in the winter I'd drive it to work. I always liked this body style-dually combo but I never really needed a 1 ton...
Truck is in good condition. Some light surface rust (see photos) here and there. A light sanding and some touch up paint would take care of 99% of the finish issues. If I were to keep the truck that would be my next project. Some very minor dents in the cab. (see photos) and some larger dents on the inside of the box, rom shifted loads (previous owner.) All could be repaired by a good body guy, specially if you removed the box from the frame. New rear aftermarket fenders. They are duplicates of the originals except they do not have running lights. They are just as heavy as the cracked originals I took off. (they were broken by deer sideswipes) Grill and inserts are cracked as well as one mirror. Equipped with power mirrors but neither work. These items are all available from vendors on E-bay. Tailgate needs to be replaced. Large dent as seen in the photos, from the previous owner backing into a pole) I've always been told it would be impossible to repair. It opens and closes but the latch doesn't work and to open you have to lift up on the toggles on the inside of the tailgate. You can occasionally find them listed on E bay. Door window weather striping will need to be replaced someday. 4 speed automatic transmission shifts as it should, hifts and accelerates smoothly.
I have owned this truck for about 12 years and had the following work done by a certified shop; I have most of the receipts.
Injector pump rebuilt (2005)
Shocks (front and rear (2004)
Front tires (Firestone "Steel-Tex" radials 10 ply with hwy tread) 50% tread
New rear tires (4-Goodyear Wranglers, oad range E, raction tread) 85 +% tread (2011)
New valve cover gaskets (2005)
Replaced steering coupler and shaft (2004)
New radiator, adiator hoses (2007)
New rear wheel bearings (both sides) (2007)
Replaced rear brake drums (both sides) as well as new seals, rake shoes etc... (2011)
New block heater (2012)
New cab headliner (2012, nstalled by professional)
New U joints (all) (2007)
Transmission overhauled by professional, ll HD parts, like new, o issues) (2014)
New water pump (2014)
New master brake cyl. (2014)
New exhaust (2007) (now showing it's age)
New (aftermarket duplicates) dual rear wheel fenders. (2014)
New alternator. (2015)
New transfer case seal/gasket (2015)
New air filter and recent oil change.
I'm confident a buyer could drive it home anywhere. After payment the truck can be left here for up to 30 days at no charge.
This list does not include routine oil changes, ilter changes, ront/rear end flush and fluid change as well as transfer case service.
This is a very solid, eliable, ell maintained truck. With some time and money could look like new. I'm out of both.
Sold as is.
