Description for Dodge Charger 1969
Here it is. One of the last of the mohicans, nbsp;a diamond in the rough. King of the B body muscle cars. This numbers matching 69 Charger was the recipient of good intentions as the original owner rebuilt the engine (short block) but then ran out of time or money and the rebuilt engine and car sat for the next quarter century or more. Built in St Louis Mo, his F8 green charger roamed back and forth from Iowa to Chicago. Anything youdon't see for this cardoesn't mean its not there. I haveeverything that came off of it including all the precious nuts and bolts for the engine and accessories. Matter of fact the only things that are missing from this car that I can tellwould be the original wheels, aybe the front parking lights and the radio. The right front fender was robbed at some point so I threw one on there that is less than attractive or usable, just figured it looked better than no fender. The tail panel and battery tray are SHOT. Vacuum canister for headlight doors is there and good and the vacuum lines arestill residing behind the grille. Optioned well with power steering, ower brakes and ac, ts still wearing its original paint and the interior is all there. A partial build sheet was extracted from under the left rear seat bottom, here may be another one under the carpet or in the headliner. The car still has its original undercoating and the frame is in great shapewith the exception of the left rear spring mount and frame extension. Still better than most though. Theoriginal carpet covers original floors that are in great shape withexception of the rr floor board area which has some perforations. I have a new rr floor pan that goes with the car. All of the little pieces that make a restoration much easier arethere and youdon't have to go searching things out. I have the orig radiator, riveshaft, tc.In the pics you see that the trans has a cut crossmember, which would make me assume the trans is not matching. I do have the original crossmember that came out of the car in goodshape. The front grille assy is tweaked very minor on the drivers side but will straighten easily and none of the plastic is cracked and none of the trim around the grille is damagedbeyond easy straightening. Also you can see that all of theunder dash goodies are there for the air conditioning and I do havethe compressor and all the other ac parts. Tail light stainless is in place, heel lip mouldings, lass is great, s I said, nything youdon't see in the pics are in storage with the car except what I listed above, nbsp; Engine numbersmatch the vin tag, hich match the core support which match thetrk lip, hich matches the fender tag. Itwould not take much to get this one back on the road to drive and play with but really needs to undergo a proper restoration.
One of the most intriguing or disturbing facts about this car might lie in the vin number which ends in 666. Maybe this car is crying out to be bright red with a black top, ragars, lacked out windows and a devil tail hanging out the trunk. It has the makings for a magazine article someday. I tend to want to put a numbers matching car back to its original color though.
I am not looking to trade for any 58 chevy trucks or Harleys, am not here to entertain bidders that do not have the funds to follow through. I am here to answer questions about the car, f you have any, hough I think it is described and documented well. 913 two o eight forty five o eight. If you have little or no feedback please contact me prior to bidding so that I can verify your intentions. Thank you very much for your interest in a piece of history that lately is coming around less and less. I sometimes wonder when it's going to end as Ihave been lovingmoparssince I could roll hot wheels across a carpet mountain.
