Description for Dodge Dart 1968

For your consideration,
1968 dodge dart HURST HEMI LO23 Replica. This vehicle has received a nut and bolt rotisserie restoration. Underside was done in correct stone grey single stage paint, allowing the underside of car to be wiped down and kept at a mirror under the car status. Fiberglass front end, acid dipped doors, paired with an always rust free laser straight body were treated to the ultimate show car period correct paint job. That's correct, CANDY APPLE RED TRANS LACE PAINT JOB OVER THE DEEPEST SHINIEST JET BLACK I'VE EVER SEEN! Base/clear beauty! Period correct HURST DECALS ON HOOD, DECKLID, DOOR, ETC. Decals are removable, but don't do it.....this thing gets so much attention it causes traffic accidents from rubbernecking.
The tires are a one off pair of pie crust retro drag slicks, made out of solid white rubber! Not a coating, it's solid white rubber, to where the redline divides the black rubber. Hurst drag slicks made these tires at my request, they said they will not make another set, too difficult .....so these are the only set in the world.....ever.
A complete set of traditional drag slicks front and rear mounted to identical cragars also go with the car..they are immaculate. That's 2 complete sets of tires and rims.
Engine has only enough miles to break in and dial it in. Dyno 654 on pump, 712 on 104 octane. Currently street legal on pump gas. Registered and insured. Battery mounted in trunk correctly, trunk is immaculate.

FAME1. This car has been featured in 2 National magazine publication, CURRENTLY IN MOPAR ACTION MAGAZINE August 2016 issue ON NEWSSTANDS NOW!!!! Also in 6 page article in August 2014 edition of Mopar collectors guide.
2. 50th anniversary of the 426 hemi contestant at MOPAR NATIONALS IN LAS VEGAS 2014
3. Won the 50th anniversary of the 426 hemi at the mopar nationals in Las Vegas....see pic of trophy and please see that it was signed by a handful of living legends there at the show from the ram chargers days at Chrysler racing, I'm stupidly letting that trophy go with the car :/
ALL PICTURES USED IN THIS AUCTION WERE TAKEN FROM THE MOPAR COLLECTORS GUIDE PHOTO SHOOT OF THIS CAR. I would like to thank TIM COSTELLO who photographed this awesome vehicle, RANDY HOLDEN, ROB WOLF and the ENTIRE STAFF at MOPAR COLLECTORS GUIDE for featuring this vehicle in their awesome publication.
Bottom line is this, 2 separate magazines have featured this car because is turns heads and stops traffic..if you enjoy attention and winning shows...you are looking at your next car. Good luck bidders!!!!
