1971 Challenger R/T 383 4-Speed Barn Find Survivor. This is a two owner car that was purchased by the second owner June 7, 1977 with ~52,000 miles (have the purchase agreement document). The second owner drove the car ~1500 miles and parked the car in 1979 with 53,394 miles. This is a great opportunity for someone to restore a very solid, documented, low mileage 2 owner 95% rust free car. The car is being sold as is. Personal inspections are welcomed. I reserve the right to end the auction at anytime.I have included over 100 detailed pics. If you need additional pics let me know and I will send them to you.
This is a numbers matching car with the exception of the engine. The current engine is a 1970 440 HP2 heavy rod (440+6) engine. The car ran when it was parked but the engine is currently seized from sitting. We did confirm the car had antifreeze. Based on a visual inspection of the block, we do not believe the block is cracked, but the car is being sold as is.
This car has mostly original paint, all original body panels, original floors and frame rails. I have provided pics of the four rust areas on the car. Drivers door lower corner (replacement door included or repairable), passenger fender (repairable), underside of hood (repairable) and firewall near wiper motor (repairable).
I am a hobbyist and have sold several Mopars on eBay over the years such as Plymouth Hemi Cuda Convertible, Road Runner, Charger, Super Bee, Challenger etc. I encourage you to look at my feedback. You will see all the buyers have been very satisfied with the cars I have sold. You can be assured I am describing this car as accurately as possible and I will answer all your questions honestly.
Feel free to contact Doug at 703 405 6825 with any question you have.
