Description for Dodge Dart 1968
It's a 1968 Dodge Dart Sedan with a 273 V8. Small block, but it sounds like a V8 with dual exhaust, MSD Ignition, and an aftermarket Offenhauser intake manifold. Electric fan and Edelbrock manual choke Carburetor. Replaced the fuel filter, oil filter, distributor cap and wires 10 miles ago (sometime January 2017). Rebuilt the power steering unit last year and replaced the power steering pressure hose. Battery was relocated to the trunk by the last owner. Brand new MP Brakes Master cylinder/ Brake Booster installed with all new brake lines; it brakes exceptionally well for drum equipped. The motor is original to the car with original miles (76,000). Exhaust manifolds and valve covers look original. Dashboard is mint. Has all of the chrome trim and 273 trim (and antenna) that's not on the car but will come with sale. Horn works fine, but the steering wheel squeaks. All of the lights work. Needs a new windshield fluid reservoir. The body is straight, no bondo / bullshit like that; all original body. Rust forming in trunk but nothing is through the pan. Quarter panels have rust at the edges, and the passenger front floor pan has rust issues. Transmission shifts well (3-speed) but the rear end needs work (whining during acceleration). Open rear end. Wheels are NOT included in this sale, but I will consider offers. If not desired, the car will then be sold on its original wheels (smaller than the 15x7 rally wheels). The car runs strong and with rear end work would become daily driver worthy. Would serve as a great donor car for a 2 door Dart.
