Description for Dodge 880 Custom Convertible 1964
1964 Dodge 880 Custom Convertible Rare, only 1054 weremade.
Here is a beautiful "50th Anniversary" Dodge 880 Custom convertible. These were made to celebrate 50 years of the Dodge Motor Company. This is a great running and driving car that has been cared for its entire life. This car fires at the touch of the key, and doesn't leak anything, very clean engine compartment. I have a book/binder that goes with the car which includes the build sheet, general repair and part receipts, general research/documentation and specs. on the car dating back to the early 80's. It is powered by its 383 motor (not the original 361) with the push button/typewriter 727 automatic transmission and the 8 ¾" rear and sits on American Racing 18" Teron rims. It has power steering and power top. Most everything on this car works as it should, power top, horn, wipers, blinkers, radio, courtesy lights all work as they should. The brake lights and rear parking lights are working intermittently, (sometimes they work, sometimes they don't) I will check into it (probably bad ground or maybe the switch). Also the heater hoses return to block as I was told the car needs a heater core. The interior is near perfect, clean and very comfortable. This car was re painted at some point and still shines like new. There are a few minor chip touch ups and there are a few bubbles on the driver's side lower rear quarter (almost under the car where the rear quarter rolls around the bottom). There is evidence that when this car was painted, some body filler was used in the lower rear quarter and rockers also looks like floors were patched but it is rock solid and was done well. Trunk and floors are rock solid, see pics. There is a small dent in the bumper that can be seen in the pics, it is fixable by a bumper/chrome shop, most do straightening also. It has a newer exhaust with Flowmasters so this car sounds awesome with a nice V8 rumble. You can't find a better luxury, sport convertible for this kind of money. Trunk lid was signed at Barrett Jackson in 2011 I think. Not sure why?? This is a get in, put the top down and cruise ready car. Very affordable to enjoy and hit the car shows. You wont see another one.
