Description for Dodge Ram 3500 1990
This old truck is basically a parts truck that you could drive home. I bought this truck 4 years ago to use exclusively at a job site to pull a gooseneck water trailer.
It has seen very little road time since then.
The good:
It starts and runs and can be driven on the road.
6 practically new tires
Gooseneck hitch
Tool Box
Stack
The bad:
Power steering is out
Power brakes are out
Oil leak at timing cover (This is not a killer dowel pin issue, I checked for that. I pulled the top of the timing cover out to get access to the injection pump to remove it and fix a fuel leak that started a couple winters ago.The leak is from me not getting the cover sealed up well)
Floor board around transmission top cover has been but out to gain access to the transmission top. The original shifter forks wore out and I replaced the transmission top/shifter assembly with one from a parts truck. I had plans to take a piece of rubber and put down over the shifter and use sheet metal screws to attach it to the floor but I never did.
Interior is in rough shape, power windows do not work well.
AC does not work
There is a trick to get the tailgate down
Exhaust Stack needs to be rewelded to bed
Speedo and Odometer do not work. I have no idea how many miles are on it. If you ask I'm going to tell you 1 Million
I'm pricing this basically for what the motor is worth. If you can manage the lack of Power Steering and Power Brakes you can drive it home.
