For auction on eBay is a 1968 Dodge Dart. Since there were only 50 or so 440 Dart GTS produced from the factory. I decided to build my own. What makes it even more unique is that I also equipped it with a 4 speed transmission. The drivetrain has been put in completely under chassis without any cuts or modifications to the body. Original big block A body parts were used for the conversion. Very rare opportunity to own a very cool weekend warrior. Look around. no others are out there for sale. A lot of time and effort was spent to put a 440 and 4 speed into the car without compromising the car. Please see below for all the details on the car. The car will be on a no reserve auction. and will sell for the highest bid. This was an original NO rust. California car that retains all of its body panels except the hood. which was changed to a GTS hood. The car is about the best platform you could possibly start with. I am selling this car for a friend. but I know just about everything on the car and can answer any questions you have on the vehicle. If I don't know the answer. I will contact the owner. Good luck and please take the time to read everything!Exterior- The car has a new GTS hood. GTS hood inserts and front hood trim. The exterior also has a white bumblebee stripe out back. New windshield was installed and all of the glass is in good condition. New front and rear bumpers were installed. The Grille is in excellent condition. Interior- The interior is all new. Has new carpet. headliner. door panels. package tray. Seat covers and sill plates. The car is an original bucket seat car. Has correct 4 speed hump and shifter. All of the inside trim was cleaned and painted black. Body- The car was painted Viper Red. and is about 5 months old. The paint looks great and is very vibrant. Overall the car is in Driver quality condition. The body has very little. if any . body filler. The car has never had any rust and is as solid of a mopar as you will find. Retains its original trunk floor as well!Engine- The motor is a fresh 440. Motor was just reringed. new bearings. new engine gaskets. as well as new oil pump. cam and lifters. Summit Carburetor. Schumacher headers and Mopar Performance valve covers. Has all new motor accessories including alternator. starter. sensors. mounts. etc. The motor fits perfect in the engine bay and believe it or not you can still get to all the plugs just fine. Motor has a nice lope to it and runs very strong. Sounds mean!Transmisson- Transmission is a 23 spline. 833 A body 4 speed transmission. It was inspected and in great condition. Has a new clutch. pressure plate. throwout bearing along with new Z bar (torque shaft) . new clutch adjusting rod and new hardware. An original big block A body bellhousing was used. Nothing was cut to make the 4 speed work with the 440 in this small A body. All completely undercarriage. Electrical- The electrical is in very good shape. Lights. wipers. turn signals. flashers. brake lights. and horn work as they should. Also added was oil pressure and temp gauges below the dash to keep an eye on out the vitals. All of the harnesses are in very good original condition. Driveline- Has new front and rear Ujoints installedRear end- Has an 8 3/4 rear end with new pinion seal and 3. 55 gears. Brakes- Brakes all work as they should. Has disc brakes up front and drums in the rear. Stops excellent!Suspension- Suspension was all rebuilt about 8 months ago. Has new shocks as well. The is a manual steering car. Wheels- Has new tires on original steel wheels with cop car dog dish hub caps. Underside- Underside is clean with no rust. As solid of an underside as you will find on a car. It is a factory undercoat car which preserved the original floor pans. Exhaust- Has Schumacher under chassis headers flowing into a modified brand new exhaust with 2 chamber flow masters. Sounds amazing! Overall as you can see the car would make an awesome driver for someone who wants to take it out and have some fun. Gets tons of looks going down the road. Also. its not a run of the mill mopar that you see every day. Gets lots of compliments when people see the 440 under the hood.
