This 1963 Dodge Polara has been setup as a Nostalgia Super/Stock spec clone of the famous Ramcharger drag racing car. The car is a based on a virtually rust free 1963 Dodge Polara 2 door coupe from Arizona. It was built professionally in 2001. The body is all steel except for the fiberglass hood with scoop. The front and rear bumpers are also fiberglass to save weight. The interior is all redone. The original dash. dash gauges and switches all exist. The dashboard was repainted. New gauges were added. Autogage Tachometer with adjustable shift light. Autometer fuel pressure gauge (mounted in front of the windshield). Autometer oil pressure gauge. Autometer water pressure & AutometerVoltmeter gauges mounted to the A-pillar. New headliner. new carpets. new door panels. original A100 seats were reupholstered. A 6 point roll cage fully integrated under the floor to provide a safety cell for the front passengers. #160; and to strengthen the body structure. A 5 point racing type seat belts have been installed. All modifications conform to Nostalgia Super/Stock racing rules. Front tires are street legal. rear tires are drag racing slicks. All rims are the nostalgic chrome Cragar rims. The rear rims have tire bead locks. Also included are Magnesium Cragar Racing rims (not shown). The engine is a Dodge 440 cubic inch V8 with steel heads (again conforming to Nostalgia SS racing regulations). The motor is a built & balanced '69 440CI V8 bored . 030 over. steel crank. Fluidamper balancer. Ross 12. 5:1 forged pistons. Eagle Steel connecting rods. Crower Solid Lifter Cams. #160; Crane Roller Rocker Arms. Mopar Performance #3614476 heads with ported bowls. Edelbrock STR14 Cross Ram Intake. (2) 4 Barrel Carter 9635S AFB Carbs with 625cfm (cubic feet per minute) capacity. Both carbs were recently completely rebuilt by a carb specialist. Steve Kaminski (Mopar Specialist). New fuel lines were installed. Headers are 1-7/8 inch coated. Fuel supply is from a Holley electric fuel pump and regulator. Billet fuel filter. braided stainless steel fuel lines from the fuel pump to the regulator. There is a racing fuel cell in the trunk. Brakes are WilwoodPro Series front disk assemblies in the front with line lock. and Wilwood Master Cylinder. adjustable front to rear brake balance controller. New Stainless Steel brake lines were installed. Mopar SS Springs and shocks. the transmission is a 727 Torqueflite built by Pro Trans in CA with a Hughes 3600RPM stall converter. and a Turbo Action Cheetah Rev. valve body and shifter. Switches are mounted on the trans shifter housing to control the driver's cooling fan. engine electric cooling fan. electric water pump. electric fuel pump. ignition switch. and starter button. The rear is a Mopar 8 3/4 inch with a 4. 86 ratio locker. The exhaust system is comprised of coated headers as mentioned before leading into a staright pipe exiting under the driver's floor. With some exhaust work. mufflers. street legal rear tires. etc. you could even put the car on the street! Car has street legal lights. front & rear.
