Description for Dodge Coronet 1968
.This is a 9 passenger wagon and it is one of the cleanest rust free original sheet metal wagons you may ever see! Much care was taken over the years to preserve this wagon and it shows. It was sold new in South Dakota and was traded in to the original dealership it was sold new at. And this is where the second owners bought it nearly 30 years ago and drove it back home to MN where it was not driven in the winter and stored inside. It was painted once about 24 years ago because it had a few dings and scratches. I have pictures of it that were taken right before it was painted in the early '90's and it looked just fine! With just that one paint job and the pride of ownership it still looks great today! It was painted to match it's original '60's color, Light Green Metallic. The factory two tone Green interior is in mostly original condition and other than a few splits in the seams of the original seats, it is in excellent condition. The door panels and headliner are in excellent original condition. The original seat belts are throughout the car and even way in the back! The dash looks nearly new and is all original. The drivetrain was beefed up by the second owner from original and it now has a rebuilt 360 4 bbl with X heads, rebuilt auto trans, 3.91 sure grip rear end and dual exhaust with H pipe, flow master mufflers and factory chrome tips. It runs and drives strong and excellent! It has power steering, factory A/C that works (but could use a charge), a power rear window and an AM radio. The previous owners were Mopar enthusiasts and treated this car like a collector car. It was driven for casual use, taken to car shows, cruises and always well taken care of. You can see by all points of this car that it is in great shape. The back rear facing fold down seat has no rips and looks great. Both back seats fold down to make for a lot of cargo space if needed. The rear tailgate folds down or swings out and has a power window that operates with a button on the dash or a key on the outside of the gate. All of the glass is factory tinted and excellent. The chrome and trim are very nice and the roof rack is near perfect with no pitting or corrosion. This 9 passenger wagon is a special car that is unlike any other and is in fantastic condition. I wouldn't be afraid to drive it anywhere and you could bring the whole family and the dog with too!
