Description for Dodge Coronet 1965
Up for auction is a 1965 Coronet 500 from one of the most famous dealerships and names ever in Mopar history.
This car was sold brand new from Mr. Norm's Grand Spaulding Dodge in Chicago, IL. Vehicle was ordered originally as a 426 Street wedge, 4-speed, 8 ¾” rear car. We have the original broadcast sheet that was found in the top side of the back seat on the driver side showing as such. Shortly after purchasing the vehicle, the original owner took it back to Mr. Norm's and had a 426 Hemi installed with cross ram, Hemi 4-speed transmission with a blow proof bellhousing, and a Dana 60 rear end with super stock springs. The original owner also had Mr. Norm's install fiberglass front fenders and a lift off fiberglass hood. As an added bonus, it has all the original Mr. Norm’s go group decals in the windows of the car and a parking sticker showing that the car was from there.
This 65 Coronet 500 was featured in a Mopar magazine, Mopar Muscle, which we have an original copy of from 1989.
- Actual documentation from FCA Historical Services stating the vehicle was originally sold at Mr. Norms.
- Only 19,000 original miles!
- Every piece of sheet metal, the interior, all the chrome and trim is absolutely flawless.

If you're looking to own a piece of Mopar history, this is likely one of the rarest 65 Coronet 500’s in existence. Many people claim they have a car that came from Mr. Norm’s or went through the shop, but very few have the documentation this car has to prove it.
