Description for Dodge Daytona 1970
One of a kind! Plum Crazy! Daytona! You will never find another one like this. Converted from a 1970 Dodge Charger, this car was completely rebuilt in 2007. This Daytona comes equipped with a rebuilt 383cui and a 727 automatic transmission with less than 2000 miles. It also has an extra large three core radiator with a seven blade fiberglass fan and an auxiliary switched double pusher fan. The custom power top has a glass rear window and folds down over the trunk lid where a custom boot can be snapped into place. This Charger is finished off with Plum Crazy exterior paint with a custom white interior. Because this car is so unique, it has been dubbed “The Most Photographed Car” at the world famous Woodward Avenue Dream Cruise in Michigan. This is true automotive art. Driving this car is a unique experience and attracts a crowd and a following everywhere it goes. Complemented perfect paint, this Daytona sits on a full 440 suspension with a completely rebuilt transmission and gears for road use. A custom pistol grip shifter on the console sets off the beautiful interior. The motor was rebuilt in 2007, and included burned and blasted rods, crank, and cylinder head. The block was bored and honed and everything was fully Magnafluxed. The deck and line bore were checked. New pistons, rings, rispin, and the crank was ground. New rod bearings, main bearings, and cam bearings. New freeze plugs, all oil galley plugs, timing set, oil pump, every gasket and seal is new, and a valve job with all new valves, intake and exhaust were completed. The motor was built as close to the factory specs as possible with a little larger cam. Anything questionable was replaced with new. My Daytona has been driven consistently about 200 miles per year, and maintained impeccably. Car looks great, sounds great, drives straight, and is fully detailed throughout. All fluids have been recently changed - car is road ready. This car needs nothing, is in stunning, beautiful condition, and is turn-key ready to go.
