Description for Dodge Dart 1968

Here is a 1968 Doge Dart 270 2 door hardtop. This is a rolling body only. It has the 8.75 rear end with single track of unknown ratio, 4 wheel drums, bucket seats (out of 1973 Dart but with correct '68 tracks - fit perfectly). This was a Michigan car early in it's life then it came to New Hampshire about 25 years ago. Originally a 273 V8 car with air, green with vinyl roof. This car has been stored inside a barn and now a garage for 20+ years.
This is my friend's car and he asked me to put it on eBay for him. I've known the guy and the car for years. I'm happy to answer any and all questions and also to go back to the guys house and take more photos if needed.
Condition: There is rust out a both rear quarter bottoms behind the wheel and a crude patch at the bottom of the spare tire well. That's been there as long as I've known the car. The frame is solid with no visible rust out or patches. I photographed this car outside on the ground to the best of my ability. The underneath looks good but has surface rust in places, see photos.
The original motor is long gone. Later it had a 340 in it, also long gone. The hood is off a '69 340 Swinger and is in good condition, aside from light surface rust. The floors are original and look OK. I saw no signs of collision damage. The lower lip of the trunk lid has moderate surface rust that needs to be blasted and painted. The seam is not fat and in my opinion the lid is OK to strip and paint.
The outside of the car was many different colors including surface rust so it was cleaned and primed. The bumpers have primer on them and are no good other than as cores. I say the car needs quarter bottoms and paint.
A car such as this is not for everybody. Be sure you have the commensurate skills and storage before you buy such a project. However, if you had a 360 or even a 440 you could build a heck of muscle car.
I have a friend that hauls cars and depending on where you live and how fast you want it he can deliver it to you for a fair price.
This car is sold as is, where is with no guarantee, written or implied. You can't take it back, period. Please make sure you really want it.
Please note: New Hampshire is a "non title" state on old cars. You get a valid New Hampshire registration and a notarized bill of sale only. -no title- I've sold cars all over the place and except for Wisconsin (shame on you Wisconsin!) they've all accepted the New Hampshire documents. Europe and all other US states. Check with your state DMV first. The guy in Wisconsin wished he had. He got a Wisconsin title in the end but they put him through the wringer. He had to drive to the state capital and wait around and it was a general hassle.
$500 PayPal deposit is required within 24 hours, no exceptions. Please have money ready in case you are the winning bidder - it could be you! The remainder is to be paid by wire transfer or cash.
We're happy to sell to Europe and other countries, just ask. Also I will help coordinate with your shipper and help load if needed. I am a full service garage with plenty of room for a semi truck to turn around.
You would have 30 days to pick up the car. After that a storage fee of $140 per month would be charged for as long as you needed. This is secure outside storage.
Thank you in advance for your kind consideration, -MHC
