Description for Dodge Other 1949
Up for auction is my 1949 Dodge Wayfarer 3 window Business Coupe. This car is solid everywhere, no rust other than some bubbling under the paint from age, see pics. Body appears to have somewhat low mileage OD says 81,000, must have been from a southern state or dry climate. This car has been upgraded with a late 60s completely professionally rebuilt Ford 302 with Edelbrock intake manifold and 4 barrel Holley carburetor and it runs nice. Has Ford C4 automatic transmission and Ford 9 inch rear end professionally modified to fit car nicely. Has straight dual exhaust pipes with thrush type mufflers ran all the way to back of car so its somewhat loud but not really. This is a really cool car and I hate to let her go but I have too many cars. This car unfortunately has original manual steering and brakes and they both require a strong arm and foot to operate. Has moon style rims that need a little steel wool buffing and blackwall tires with lots of tread and the rubbers seems to be pretty good for their age. Dash is in nice shape, headliner is decent but has some moisture stains, seat was professionally re-covered and is nice, their are no inside door panels but they are just flat panels so easy to make up a set, I just have not got around to doing it yet. Top inside door window frames are included and shown in one of the pics. There is a crack in the passenger side door glass. All lights, turn signals and horn work. Updated radio works. I require the buyer to pay thru Pay-Pal a $100 non-refundable deposit within 3 days after the auction ends or if you prefer to send a money order or bank check thru the mail that is fine. This is to cover any fees lost plus my time having to relist if you decide you do not want the car later. Complete payment can be made with cash when you come to pick the car up or thru Pay-Pal prior to pick up so funds clear, whichever you prefer. Car has clear Ohio title. Thanks for Looking! On Sep-19-18 at 06:14:41 PDT, seller added the following information:Someone has asked if there is a crack in the frame because of one of the photos, no there are not any cracks in the frame, what is seen in the picture are just spider webs. This is a solid rust free car and there are no defects in the frame or any major components.
Spots seen under tail light are just surface rust painted over, metal is solid.
