Here we have a 1969 Dodge Super Bee for sale. This car is a factory M Code A12 lift off hood car that features the 440 Six Pack Engine. There were only 826 of these cars built with a Four Speed making this a very rare opportunity. We are only the 3rd owner this '69 and it comes with copies of the original deal sheet, original title, and numbers receipts and documents from over the years. In the paragraphs to follow we will give a brief description of the exterior, interior, and driveline of this Dodge, but first we would like to tell you a little about us.
Smoky Mountain Traders is a classic car dealer in east Tennessee. We are family owned, operated, and own our entire inventory, no consignments, and only deal in muscle cars and vintage auto. You can count on us to have 70 to 80 cars at all times. We don't have a big show room that our customers would otherwise pay for. So, that's how we can sell for less than other dealers. To contact us for more information, pictures, or any questions call our office at (865)988-8088 or visit our SmokyMountainTraders website.
We will start off with the exterior of this Super Bee. It has 1 of the best bodies we've seen on a B Body Mopar as it all appears to be rock solid with excellent fit of all the panels. You can see that all your gaps at the doors, hood, and trunk are also even any symmetrical. This car is done in the F6 Bright Green paint which is the factory option. It's accented by the Black Super Bee Stripe and the A12 Fiberglass lift off hood. The paint has been buffed and polished to a gorgeous shine that's slick as a ribbon. Both bumpers appear to have been replaced, and all the stainless is in excellent condition a lot of which we believe to be original to the car. Also, all of the glass is beautiful with the side glass going up and down as it should. To finish off the exterior it's sitting on a set of 15" Steel Wheel with the BFGoodrich Red lines Tires.
Next, we will look at the interior of this '69. On the inside it's been redone in the factory Black option as well. It provides the perfect complement to the exterior color combo. When you open the door, you can see that the door panels appear to have been replaced and are like new. This Super Bee does have the bench seat with the factory style Four Speed Shifter. Both seat covers appear to have been replaced and all of the padding is in excellent condition. Looking at the dash you'll notice all the gauges are beautiful, and they're all working down to the clock. The headliner also appears to have been replaced and has a great fit, you'll even notice the dome light is working. In the trunk it all has a beautiful detail with the trunk mat, spare, and bumper jack.
Finally, we will look at the driveline of this Dodge. When you lift off this A12 Hood you'll notice it sports a mid '68 model 440 engine that's setup with the Edelbrock Six Pack intake and the Holley 2 Barrel Carbs. It also has the correct breather that seals to the hood. It's been dressed in the factory style valve covers and everything has a gorgeous detail. It has the fender tag and the matching radiator support. For exhaust it has the correct Manifold with new Dual Pipes and has been upgraded with Borla Mufflers. This Super Bee does come with power steering and it has manual brakes with four-wheel drums. When you look under it you can see that it has been extremely well taken care of over the years with the Frame and Floors all appearing to be rock solid. It does appear that the trunk pan has been replaced which looks to have been done with a New Gas tank was installed along with new fuel lines. Now this 440 Engine is mated to the Matching Numbers Four Speed Transmission that runs back to the Dana 60 Rear End with a Suregrip 4.10 gear.
