Here is the show car you have been waiting for. straight out of my personal collection a 1970 Matching #’s Dodge Challenger TRUE RT JS vin with Pistol grip 4-Speed. This showstopper underwent a complete 3-year nut and bolt restoration that cost in excess of $90. 00 and it shows. Only 295 miles have been put on this Mopar muscle car since the restoration and that has been mostly to shows. The bodywork and paint were all done professionally and cost over 14. 00 alone. every attempt was made to keep the original 1970 parts The car retains almost all of its original sheet metal. the only metal that was replaced were the lower rear quarters and only NOS sheet metal was used to ensure a perfect fit The entire body was stripped-the fenders. doors. hood. and trunk were all removed. all the stainless and chrome was sent away to be restored. There was no rust except the surface rust in the lower rear quarters. which mentioned earlier was cut out and replaced with NOS 4 coats of primer were laid down and sanded between coats 5 Coats of B5 blue were then applied followed by 6 coats of clear Car was then wet sanded and buffed to a mirror finish All the lenses were replaced with the exception of the rear taillights as they were on backorder Trunk was all finished out and painted with the correct B5 blue as well. all new drain plugs and correct hardware were installed. carpet was professionally cut and was installed in the trunk as well. Car was reassembled with the upmost care taken to ensure proper panel gap and fit; everything lines up perfect doors. hood trunk. etc. Underneath is all original and still in perfect rust free shape. The interior was all restored and the shop managed to maintain most of the original parts and have them sent away for restoration.
