Description for Dodge Challenger 1970
1970 Dodge Challenger 426 Hemi 4-speed Dual-Carb Shaker. Currently (24-Jul-2019), this car is in same price range as non-HEMI cars.......but this has a HEMI! and 4-speed and Shaker! Hard to find a car like this at this price (at least on eBay right now). I'm sorry but I cant lower price from $87,500.00 (USD). 426 Hemi Mopar Performance crate motor (non-numbers matching car) purchased new by me in 2007 and rebuilt in Aug-2018, 4-speed, shaker, Hemi orange, disc brakes, awesome custom sound system and much much more. Turns heads everywhere! I rarely can leave anywhere I go because everyone loves this car and the way it sounds. This car was even cast in an online/web commercial because of how it stands out in a crowd. The car sounds great with the stainless steel exhaust but also has exhaust cutouts which provide on-demand variable open header sound using a switch under the steering column. Non-numbers matching Dodge Challenger garage kept. The 426 HEMI crate motor (Mopar Performance) purchased new (by me) in 2007 & was professionally installed. Motor was then rebuilt in Aug-2018 & put on an engine dyno (501hp, 478trq, test runs provided). Mopar Dual-quad intake manifold P5153737), Dual Edelbrock 600 CFM carbs, Shaker setup, March pulley system, TTI headers, 3-inch stainless steel exhaust with electric cutouts, new clutch, new AutoGauge cluster (oil, temp, volt), new metal shaker hood (Goodmark), metal front fenders (inner & outer), 4-speed car with 8 3/4" rear (not sure of gear ratio), custom wheels and tires, rim blow (repro) steering wheel with working rim horn, new interior including headliner, foam buckets & carpet, Dynamat, new door panels, new windshield and new rear glass, custom sound system (5 speakers, bluetooth, 300watt digital amp), SSBC disc brakes, MSD6AL with tach adapter, new clock, restored dash, new front & rear bumpers, new tail light bezels and lenses, new American Autowire wiring and much more. Paint is about 10 years old but shows very well. (see more details below). What else do you need in a muscle car?

I've owned this car for about 12 years and started rebuilding the car by stripping to bare metal. Most all work was done professionally including the engine rebuild in Aug-2018, re-wiring, engine install, trans rebuild, rear rebuild, etc was all done by performance and restoration shops. The "426 HEMI" emblems (on shaker bubble) and both leaf springs are NOS. As stated, we are not selling car as an original HEMI R/T but still wanted to go with as many NOS parts as possible.......just cause it looks better! The process took longer to find the right parts and to "do it right" but I think it was worth it in the long run and more fun (at least for me). With the exception of the Pioneer stereo, the interior looks original. I remember waiting almost a year for the repro Rim Blow steering wheel (purchased from Classic Industries). The driver and passenger door panels are OER and purchased from Classic Industries (these are significantly more $ but have cleaner lines and a better fit I think. I forgot to mention in the description that the door locks do not currently work as I am having a difficult time trying to fix. All linkages are in place and some clips and rods have been replaced but the stuff they are selling (e.g. handles) out there just don't fit right. Also, the tach is not working even though the MSD Tach Adapter was installed with the MSD 6AL, this will be fixed soon by a professional.
If you have any questions regarding this car, please email me thru ebay and if needed I can send my mobile phone number.
For serious inquires, we can show you the vehiclethrough FaceTime or schedule an in-person meeting. Feel free to contact me for additional details.
