1979 Dodge Aspen Custom. One Owner 82k Mint Survivor All Original 318 V8 Automatic, A/C, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Factory AM/FM Stereo Cassette, Cruise Control and Rear Defrost. This car runs and drives like new! In town and on the highway. It looks and drives like a car with 30k miles. Its all original. Even has the original spare tirein the trunkthat has never been on the ground and all original factory exhaust system. The original paint, interior, vinyl top, All glass in excellent, near new condition. The paint has high gloss you can even see the reflection of the parking lot stripe behind the front wheel. The windshield has no pitting or chips. All rubber seals and vinyl trim are soft and pliable like new. the chrome and stainless trim are bright with no pitting and appear factory fresh. It has no rust. This car was owned by the same man since new until I bought it from his widow after he passed this year. It was never driven in rain or snow and kept in a garage under a cover. It was undercoated/rust proofed when new. This was the original owners prized possesion and he babied it. It is the tightest old mopar I have ever driven. It has no rattles, all doors, trunk, hood shut solidly like a new car. It idles smoothly. It runs cool even in hot weather. The transmission shifts well through all the gears. All lights and gauges work along with the original radio and clock. This car needs nothing! I would keep it but need the garage space soon and this car is way to nice to be outside.
The negatives are that it has a few small dents. The A/C does not blow very cold, needs to be charged. The car runs well but it has a stumble at times off idle, I think the carb just needs adjustment. I have done nothing to tune the car other thanchanged the fluids and put in a new battery.So it might be good to give it a tune up. It also has a minor oil leak.
