Description for Dodge Charger 1972
Superbee tribute. This car was born a 1972 Charger SE. It is an original v8 air condition car. No. the air condition is no longer on the car but all the plumbing remains making it very easy to be put back in if you desire. Heat works very well. If you want #'s matching. This is NOT the car for you. If you want a really cool muscle car? I challenge you to find something cooler than this Mopar! Now for the fun stuff! This car has a 1971 HO coded 440 BB mated to a 727 torqueflite transmission that runs out to a possi trac 8 3/4 rear end. It will tote the mail. but has the higher gear ratio for great cruising on the interstate as well. The car has just underwent a year and a half restoration at a professional body shop. The paint is immaculate! Seriously 10 out of 10. She looks great in Hemi Orange and the flat black Superbee decaling just makes everything pop. The black vinyl top is perfect. She is sitting on 17" Torque thrust ll polished aluminum wheels with brand new Firestone Firehawk GT Pursuit tires on the rear and Goodyear GT radials on the front. It has an awesome rake to her. with the 265/60's on the back and the 235/35's on front. It also features power disc brakes in the front and drums in the rear. The front and back bumpers have been re-chromed. Someone along the line decided to take a brilo pad to them and blacked them out and it looked like crap to me. so now they are bright and shiney. The mirrors are brand new and the chrome is perfect. All new badging for the car which includes the 440 Magnum emblems on the TRUE FACTORY POWERBULGE HOOD from an original '71 SUPERBEE. Brand new Superbee fender emblems accompanied by the new bees too. Brand new Lanyards and hood pins. Brand new chin spoiler and rear Go Wing spoiler. New Front turn signal housings and lenses. The hide-away-headlights work as if they were new from the factory. The interior is 85% done. Brand new seats. front and back. The orange headrests really set this car off. New carpet and the center console is fantastic with the Slap stick shifter. Door panels and visors are all in great shape with exception of one small split on the passenger door panel. Brand new arm rest pads on the doors as well as brand new door handles. I am sure I have forgotten half the things that have been done to this car (like a new starter. ew Magna Flow exhaust. nbsp;trunk pad. breather etc. ) but as beautiful as this car is and as a 100% rust free example of this 42yr old classic she ain't perfect. Some of the chrome trim has some pitting. I have the pillar covers and the sail panels for the car that need to be installed with the headliner. No radio. because I would rather listen to the motor. and a dash pad would make it. Well. PERFECT!!! Now. that being said. the car is less than 500 bucks from absolute perfection so. if you don't want to add a few personal touches to the car? Call me after the auction if the car doesn't sell and I will have these items tended to and charge you the 100% restored price. Lol This is not a Camaro or a Mustang. You won't pull up at many car shows and see 50 of these parked side by side. Another thing. if you are in a hurry everywhere you go. this may NOT be the car for you. Like I said. she will run like a scalded dog but when you stop at the gas station or burger joint or wherever. People want to know what it is. can they take pictures or video and talk with you about it and ask if it's for sale or the one their friend had. Seriously. the looks and comments I get from this car paid for every dime I put in it. If you are serious and have the money to do the talking. feel free to call me @ (706)421-8959. My name is Randy and I would be glad to answer any questions or concerns you may have. P. S. . I know this car is cool. Believe me. it took me many years to get something this cool so please. If you do NOT have the money to buy this car please don't waste our time. your time will come. I am willing to work with anyone's shipping company that would like to purchase the car. even internationally. I will deliver at the cost of $2. 00 per loaded mile. My car will be paid for in full before it leaves my property! This car is being sold with a bill of sale only. The state of Ga. does NOT issue titles for cars of this age. I will provide registration as well and your state may issue you a lost title. I also have a copy of the Police certification stating the car is not stolen. 1500 dollars is due at the close of the auction within 24 hours. This is NON-refundable. A couple of points: The Marker lights have been replaced and put in their correct place since pictures were taken. A new tire has been put on the original Mopar steel rim for spare. On Mar-08-15 at 05:51:49 PDT. seller added the following information:I wanted to make it known that you do not have to take my word on the restoration process. I have the bill from the shop detailing the work that was done that also goes with the car. Thank you. and happy bidding!
