Description for Dodge Other Pickups 1946
1946 Dodge 1 1/2 ton truck that has an awesome look to it and it would make a great looking patina truck. Anyone with questions or anyone who wants to see the truck in person can call me at 620-786-4428. I will have a current, clear title on this truck as soon as it gets back from the state. This is a larger series truck, but it will still fit on a car trailer so hauling shouldn't be a problem. The overall length of this truck from the front bumper to the end of the frame rails which is about 2 foot past the rear axle is 21 feet. The wheelbase is 15 foot. One of the rear dual wheels is gone, so the width at the rear tires is 6 foot. IF this truck does not sell, I will start parting out, so watch my auctions over the coming weeks if you need parts and it doesn't sell. 620-786-4428Body - The sheetmetal on this truck is some of the best I've ever seen on one of these trucks. There is a little rust starting to come through on the back of the cab at the bottom edge but that's about it. I can't find any other rust out in this truck. The doors look great, floors, rockers, everything looks good. The roof has had some dents in it and there is some plastic in the roof. The fenders, hood, and grill all look good. The fenders are different than pickup, but the hood and grill are all the same. The fenders are a similar shape as pickup, but a larger opening, so if you're going to run a larger than stock pickup tire and wheel package, the fenders would probably work for a custom build. The front bumper has a similar shape to the pickup, but this one is larger and heavier and this one comes with a stout grill guard. The windshield frame looks good. The doors still shut solid and the hood latches good.
Interior - The original seat springs are there. The glove box door is missing and the speedometer is wrong. The gauges are the original pods. The floors look really clean and solid.
Drivetrain - The engine is apart and I do not have the pieces for it. The rest of the drivetrain is there except for the driveshaft. The truck does roll fine and it will load easily. I don't know anything about the condition of any of the components of the drivetrain.
This truck would make a great project or there is a lot of really good sheetmetal for someone who is restoring a truck similar to this. All shipping costs and arrangements are the responsibility of the buyer. I do have a shipping broker that I use regularly that I can put you in touch with. A $1000.00 deposit is due within 5 business days of the end of the auction. The balance is due before the truck is picked up or in cash at that time. Since this is a vehicle, no PayPal. I do reserve the right to end the auction early. I have over 1,000 cars and trucks in stock and I constantly get calls every day. If this truck doesn't sell, I will start parting it out, so be sure to watch my auctions for the pieces if it doesn't sell.
