Description for Dodge Challenger 1970
This old gem has been hidden in a garage for nearly 40 years. We just pulled it out into the light the other day. Originally this was a 318, 2 brl. automatic. High price build bucket seat woodgrain console with factory air car. Someone tore it apart, dropped a 440 in it and stopped. For what ever reason the guy sprayed John Deere green on one side. The other side it looked like he started to sand and fix some dings. The hood is original paint untouched. Almost every part is with the car and all the glass looks good. Little to no rust. Great candidate for restoration or a resto mod. You will be hard pressed to find a more solid project car. I would love to build this one but I am getting too old now and work on cars for a living. I want to spend more time fishing and less time bondoing lol. I am eliminating 4 of my projects and passing them on to someone younger or someone with more time. This car is real ugly right now but don't let looks fool you. This one has great bones. Of all the project cars I have looked at or owned through the years this is the nicest one yet. Alabama did not use titles until 1976 so this car does not have a title. The buyer will need to come during the week so we can get you a notarized bill of sale and your home state should accept that and issue you a title. Wow I have had so many of you interested in this car asking questions and requesting more pics so I have loaded some more on to here. I have also tried to look the car over better and see that squirrels have had their way with anything chewable. With the garbage they leave in the floor and trunk I see some surface rust. I poked around with a screw driver and it feels pretty solid but I am sure there will be some minor welding needed in the floors and trunk. On the other hand I also took pictures of the inside of the deck lid and bottoms of the inside of the doors. The places where you always find rust this one is clean as it could be for a 50 year old car. This car really needs to be brought in and stripped down and cleaned up. I am afraid once I take the time to do all that I will not stop and restore the car.
