Description for Dodge Charger 1971
Vehicle DetailsSelling my 1971 Charger RT that is a dealer demonstrator Y13.Started out in Texas/ California and car is super solid, no rust original Brite White paint. Originally a white top and stripe delete, previous owner dyed top and added stripe. Option list is impressive, 440,AT,power windows, AC, tach, rim blow, tinted glass, am/fm with factory cassette, buckets, console, six way seat, C92 factory floor mats, pedal dress up,AO1 light pkg,AO2 drivers aid pkg (low fuel),AO9 concealed headlamp(hideaways) group, inside hood release, headlamp time delay, houndstooth interior, 3 speed wipers, dual painted side mirrors, door edge guards, bazooka tips, A45 front and rear spoilers,15x7 rally’s with new Polyglas G60's, A36 performance axle pkg(3.55 gears),S15 hemi suspension. Added options: rear defroster and impossible to find Factory Headlamp Washers! Currently has recent rebuilt nom 1971 440 motor but has matching #s transmission that was also rebuilt with a shift kit. I had original matching numbers block professionally repaired, magnafluxed and pressure tested; just needs machine work now. Comes with two perfect build sheets, IBM card and repo traveler sheet.
Was in the book " It's Only Original Once." Because it's original, it has its bump, scrapes and bruise but shows extremely well. Car has original panels and no rust, 90% original paint. Car draws a ton of attention when out at a show and survivors are getting hard to find. I purchased an NOS white vinyl top that goes with the car if the next owner chooses to go back 100% original as does the original matching numbers block and carburetor.
When I first got the car I changed out the old Polyglas tires that were on it and replaced with new G60 15 Polyglas tires, bought and replaced the carburetor installed an Edelbrock 1411 carb, Bilstein gas shocks and had the steering box rebuilt Firm Feel. Currently the AC needs to be recharged and one of the power window switches need to be replaced.
Original cars have really gained popularity in recent years and I am ready to pass this amazing car along to its next caretaker.
