Description for Dodge D100 1968

Vehicle Details

Vehicle being offered is an original factory ordered 318 V8 model of the D100 series Sweptline. It’s a custom badged factory truck with all the original trim and badging complete. The engine is rebuilt in past years and runs exceptional, transmission received a clutch and seals shifts beautifully on the colum, mechanisms were upgraded to Teflon bushings for ease of use. The rear end has been rebuilt with new pinion, carrier and updated sealed Mopar outer flange bearings and seals. Drive shaft was rebuilt and computer balanced, Rancho 9000X custom dampening shocks all around, new tires as period correct as I could find with 95% tread left. 4 wheel power disk brakes and all new master cylinder and lines, the entire brake system is new pedal to pads along with new front wheel bearings, steering linkages, bushings and kingpins. Holley 500 cfm 2 barrel, new fuel tank, mechanical fuel pump and lines. Mopar electronic distributor, module and wiring for reliability, new starter, alternator and Optima battery along with all new power wires and grounds. It has loads and loads of NOS Mopar parts period correct to list, lenses, back up lights, turn signal mechanism, wiper motor, dash lights, everything works. New custom 3 core aluminum radiator with removable anode, new hoses and thermostat. Amsoil fluids and filter throughout its life, High Zinc Hot Rod engine oil, Amsoil Coolant with boost, Amsoil Manual Transmision fluid and Amsoil Severe Gear Axle fluid. Changed every year although the miles per year are extremely low. It’s an excellent example of what’s becoming a very rare, very complete Sweptline. The bed is the best condition Sweptline bed I’ve seen so far with the original tailgate that came with it. The truck is completely original it was never a piece together project and from what I can gather was in 50 years used very lightly for what most pickups were used for in that period. I’m a huge Mopar enthusiast and collector and it’s been one of my favorite vehicles to drive. I have no problem keeping it in the collection. Thank you for your time and consideration.
