Description for Dodge Charger 1972
1972 Dodge Charger SE with a little over 91,000 mile on it. It had 85,000 miles on it when I bought it back in 12/20/83. I am a retired ASE auto body and frame technician. I customized this car after I bought it so it's not original. The vinyl top was removed along with all emblems. The stereo system is in the ceiling that matches the center console glove box. It has power mirrors along with a power antenna and Corvette side pipe exhaust. The 318 and transmission ran fine when I stop driving it over 25 years ago. Everything is on this car to make it drivable. You'll need a way to put it on your trailer as it will not run. Been sitting too long. This charger has a rock solid body except for a little bit of rust at the bottom of the quarter panels and across the back of the deck lid. The body of the car is straight with no dents. Since I have owned the car it has never been driven in the snow or rain and was always kept in the garage. I have more photos. If you need more just let me know.I also have a 340 out of a Dodge dart swinger. I took this motor out because I planned on putting it in the charger. It's been in the garage and has the transmission on it. The motor ran good except it used oil and needs to be rebuilt. It's a complete motor accept it does not have the exhaust manifolds. I also have a 727 transmission that was a rebuild with reverse flow, shift kit, 100 lb of oil pressure that was never installed behind the 340 for the charger. I believe the 340 out of the dart has 275 horse stock. Here's the number that is on the 340 block. 2780930-340-1 The cost for the 340 and both transmissions is 2,000.00 OBO I have pictures of the 340 with the transmission but I do not have photos of the rebuilt 727 transmission. It's under a bench in a bag.
