Description for Dodge Challenger 1970

I purchased car in 1986 from the person who bought it in 1970. Last time it was driven was 1993 or so. painted around 1997. much good work done to hood. top and doors. Top is far from perfect. however it had a vinyl top and is in much better shape than original. As we know. back in the day. the factory was not so precise with the roofs of the cars getting vinyl tops. Year-1 valences. Aftermarket fenders. most likely from the far east added in 1990-2 or so. directional areas need work. front ones were sawed to fit lights. back ones weren't touched. but lights won't fit w/o mods. antenna hole hacked as well. Had a luggage rack. gone now. could use new leaf springs. rear part of frame has rot. missing gas tank. have most trim. Have NOS head liner. some other NOS trim parts. included. bumpers have several minor dents. need to be re-chromed. straightened etc. Original plant (383) discarded. has 69 imperial 383 in there instead. Some original engine parts: air clnr. intake. tranny. rear posi end. Rebuilt engine in 1991/2. new pistons. cam. bearings. crank turned 10-10. Had the mill balanced by Hess machine shop in Fitchburg mass during rebuild in 1991/2 ran good when I put it away in 1993 when we started collecting children. front windshield broken. orig. rims & tires that were on it when I bought it go with it. No trunk key. Passenger mirror broke off prior to painting. have it. but will need to be replaced or reworked. Recent exhaust in 1991 or so. Haven't driven car more than 400 miles since 1986. been in basement for a long time. Never advertised for sale since 1986 when I purchased it. First time being advertised March 16th. 2015. Incomplete restoration. and used improper non factory components when replacing floors. trunk pan. nbsp;and part of firewall in 1987-88. Brake lines were added yet 'high schooled' in 1987. Not what I would call a neat and tight job. but was 20 or so years old when attempted. Paint is done well. but can see specs through the paint on front fenders. I've been told this can be corrected. but not sure if I believe it. With small exceptions. I have all trim parts. Had rear window de-fogger option at one point. Have seats and door skins. interior plastic. Will take some effort to get it out of my basement. so this won't happen until after car is purchased. I have many more pictures. however Ebay decided I am limited to 24. First picture is of car in 1987 or so without fenders. Replaced radiator in 1986. reused original tanks. still has green fluid in it. looks good. Doused engine with marvel oil back in the day. when moth-balled. To be done right. the body including frame need full restoration. On Mar-16-15 at 14:09:29 PDT. seller added the following information:Forgot to mention: Car came with wide black stripe around tail and 1/4 inch wide or so stripe about 1/4 inch away from it. towards the front. Has a scat pac sticker on drivers rear window as well. either came from previous owner or factory.
