Description for Dodge Coronet 1968
This is a clean and very much original car that has spent most of its life under a tarp or in a garage. The body is solid and the car is essentially rust-free. The original undercoating is present. as is the factory insulation and seals. Floor pans are solid. as is the trunk pan. Body and sheet metal is rot free as well. with no major dents. Original paperwork/invoices available. The car was manufactured at the Los Angeles Chrysler plant in late December '67. and first sold at East Bay Dodge in August '68. Other than small touch-ups. the F8 paint is original with no cracks or pits and shines really great. Paint is well taken care of and has not dulled whatsoever. Interior is in excellent condition. The vinyl bench seats and headliner are original with no cracks or tears. Carpet in good condition with original foam. Radio is missing however. Engine is a solid 318 that was rebuilt 20 years ago with Mopar Performance spec parts and a 90's 5. 2L block and parts. Transmission is the 3-spd factory 727 Torqueflite. Has a aftermarket Champion Cooling radiator and Edlebrock 4 barrel carburetor. Stock manual steering. and manual brakes. Steering is smooth and the car has brand new drums and shoes all around. Wheels are Cragar Smoothies 15 rear and 14 front. Other than weekend drives. car meets. and weekend getaways. the car has not been driven often. I have complete confidence from a reliability standpoint. The car has never let me down and has been dependable since day 1. Unfortunately I have to sell my beloved Coronet as I will be moving overseas to study abroad in the UK very soon and I simply don't have a place to store it and I won't be back for awhile. This means the fortunate buyer is getting a solid running Mopar with zero body rot and room for future value appreciation. This is the most intact and well kept 4-door B-body you'll ever see. All the problems a car of this age would suffer from is absent. and the car is turnkey and ready to cruise whenever you like. So shoot me an email. give me a call. and come and check out the car. It's a fantastic example of a rare and overlooked Mopar. More pictures and video available. just ask via email. Thanks. nbsp;-Josh
