Description for Dodge Charger 1973
you are looking at a 1973 se charger i purchased from a old couple 16 years ago. the car was shipped to missouri from shreveport. louisiana. the charger was totally original when i bought it having 59563 orig miles on it then. over the last 16 years i have made this charger the best of the coke bottle styling of 71. 2 and 73. 1st thing i did when i had this all orig rust free car painted was add the 73 charger rallye hood with the correct 73 black painted rallye in the center of the hood(not a decal) the black top is all original and is near perfect. i added a go wing and chin spoiler to set off the white car and black vinyl top. the paint is 8 years old and is a base coat clear coat finish that has never been rained on and always garaged and under a cover. i do not wash this car. only dust it off and spray it with detailer for shows. i have always like the hideaway headlight so i purchased a set of them along with the motor that opens and closes (headlight motor is rebuilt) and blacked them out giving this 73 a sinister look from the front. i also liked the rt tail lights so i added them to the rear giving it a mean look from behind. i also took off the front and rear bumper guards giving it a cleaner look. i have also added new exhaust tips from my friends 2013 yellow jacket challenger to give it a one of a kind look from the rear. the white paint with the black accents looks awsome. ne of a kind for sure. after getting the exterior completed and looking real sweet i figured id sweeten up the drive train so i purchased a 1971 340 10 -1 steel crank balanced motor air gap intake. eaders. from a friend who decided to put a 440 in his cuda(demon carb. ood cam) this way i was able to hook the ac right up as all the brackets matched the 318 that was removed-after putting the 360 hp motor in it i bought a 8 3/4 with 3 55 suregrip and installed that(what a difference from the orig 318 and 2 73 open rear end)yep. decided to do the tranny next having a lower 1 st gear put in along with a 2500 stall and shift kit. this car will smoke the tires if needed. new 15 inch magmun 500 s on rear 14 inch magnum on the front with bf goodrich tires. flow master exhaust . ar sounds great and will idle for hours and not over heat. all light and gauges work along with heat and ac(wipers. peedo. ash. ap lights. ome. ig lighter. runk light. love box light. orn. all glass is great. ash is not cracked and orig radio is still intake. i have added a stereo in the glove box. bucket seats(rare salt/pepper vinyl/cloth seats) are in great shape. consol slap stick 3 speed automatic . . headliner . ash. arpet very nice for a car this old. result is what you are looking at is my finished 73 se charger with what i think is the best of the 71. 72 and 73 . pretty much all orig interior with a super solid body and great paint and vinyl top with a new completely done drive train. this car starts right up every time and drives straight down the road and does not pull when stopping. the bumpers are very straight and nice but the rear has very tiny stars in it if you look hard at it 3-4 feet away. not bad at all . ost people probly would not even notice. any questions give me a call at 314 680 4820 thanks i have the build sheet that is in great shape and the fender tag is still in the car. i have only put 10 k miles on this car in the last 16 years and most of that was in the 1st 7 years of owning it.
