Description for Dodge Coronet 1950

1950 Dodge Coronet in great shape. Rust free car. original Montana car. 4th owner. 93. 00 original miles (on body). 383 Dodge Charger Big Block conversion with Torqflite 727 auto trans with shift kit (out of a 1966 Coronet). aluminum radiator. Edelbrock 1405 carb. Performer 383 manifold. glass pack exhaust with H-pipe. Taurus electric fan. 8. 8 Ford posi rear end. Front disc conversion (Camaro Brakes). power brake master cylinder. excellent interior. hidden ipod conversion to factory radio with modern speakers and amp. all new 15 circuit wiring (12V conversion). Cavalier rack and pinion steering conversion (manual rack. but I have the u-joint for a power version which is a direct drop in that you can have). lowered 3-4". new carpet. seat belts. auto floor shifter. ididit steering column using original steering wheel. Jegs hot rod heater. new shocks. Jegs line lock for smokey burnouts if desired. and more. All interior gauges are hooked up (Speedo. oil pressure. temperature. fuel) except the clock (just needs a 6v converter added. I have it) and ammeter (Speedo is connected to the 727 and is within a few % even). Nice interior that was reupholstered in the 90's (could use some minor re-tacking in a few spots. but nothing serious). Paint job is decent but is oxidized and could be shined up better or do a forced patina. or repaint. Molding is all there. some pieces could use straightening and a couple could use new clips. It's lived in a garage. A fun little sleeper. It's not a show car but a very good shape older car that has been modified to be a fun driver and a fun project. I drive it to work at least once a week when the weather is nice. Things still left to do as it is an ever evolving project. here are a few I can think of:hook up original horns (I have them and wiring is already run)Small coolant leak out of thermostat housing (I also have a brand new hi flow water pump housing for it)Transmission pan has a very slow leak (definitely from the gasket)Fuel gauge recently started jumping around a little. pretty sure it's the 12 to 6v converter going flakey. Ignition key works on drivers side door. but not passenger side. pretty sure it just needs to be looked at by a locksmith. Trunk lock works with it's key as well. From what I can tell. it has had some bondo used in the right rear fender (not much) and a spot on the front of the hood about quarter sized.
