Description for Dodge Challenger 1970
1970 DODGE CHALLENGEROLD SCHOOL HOT ROD1970 Dodge Challenger R/T clone. This Challenger has a .30 over 383 ci. engine with Keith Black pistons steel forged crank with full groove bearings high volume oil pump double roller timing chain Mopar 509 purple camshaft 1-7/8" Hooker Competition headers Eldebrock intake and Holley carburetor. The engine is mated to a rebuilt 727 TorqueFlite transmission with racing clutches and a 9" PTC 3500 stall converter. 383 Sure Grip rear. The engine starts quickly and the tranny shifts just like it should. Power steering and power brakes. Gas tank and sending unit appear to be fairly new. Brand new freshly installed dual Flow Master turbo exhaust sounds great. Lots of motor thumping tire spinning power. The hood trunk spolier and Rallye dash were added by the previous owner. The car was originally orange and came with a 318 ci. engine. The body has some rust bubbling noted mainly at the rear wheel wells and lower quarters. The trunk has had patch panels installed. The floor pans have some rust. No head liner in place bows are in place. Dash is cracked. Headlights and tail lights work. The front seats are original Mopar buckets but the rear seat is not. Brand new molded carpet has been installed. Very interesting VIN sequence number 123455.
This car has been on the road and owned by the previous owner for approx 20-25 years. This Challenger is a real head turner. I have owned numerous very nice muscle cars over the years. I can honestly say that this car gets more attention than any I have ever had. I guess all the movies and the re-introduction of the new Challenger make it such an eye catcher. If you are looking for a good 70 Challenger for a restoration project or are simply wanting a neat "Old School" Mopar Hot Rod to drive as it is to the summer Cruise-In's then this is the 1970 Challenger for you!
Alabama does not issue titles on vehicles produced prior to 1975. A notarized bill of sale and tag receipt will be available to the buyer.
