Description for Dodge Ram 2500 1994
This truck is a 1994 Dodge Ram Regular Cab Base Model 2wd with 4 speed manual transmission. Its is the Mexican Market 2500 model and was built at the Chrysler plant in Satillo Mexico. It is very similar to the 93 D250 as far as the engine and drivetrain ie dual belts for the alternatorthrottle body injection etc.It was imported several years ago and I have a clean North Carolina title in my name.It is currently registered as I still drive it occasionally. This truck has the famed NP-435 "Rock Crusher" 4 Speed Manual Transmission with granny gear and the 360ci motor with 114k original miles. The guages are metric so odemeter is in Kilometers. It has 181k Kilometers on the odemeter which is about 114k miles.I bought the truck a while back and just don't use it like I thought I would so instead of letting it sit unused I have decided to sell it.It has good tires with about 70% tread leftbrakes are in good working orderit shifts good and the engine runs good.It could use a little "fine tuning" though to smooth out the idle. This is a base model so no power windowslocks or a/c.It does have a cd player and some type of cheap aftermarket speakers the previous owner installed. In the last year it has had new belts put onnew spark plugs and wiresnew distributor capnew ignition coilresealed oil panand a new Interstate battery.Had the oil changed about 1500 miles ago also. The previous owner had some exhaust work done.It has a "test pipe" installed where the catalytic converter originally was and it has a dual exhaust out the back.It sounds good but is a little loud for my taste. There are a few small rust holes in the rear section of the exhaust but it is not falling apart or anything. The paint is faded bad but there are no rust holes or structural rust isues. No rusty rockers like most of these older trucks. Its very solid and only has minor surface rust where the paint is sunburned through. It does have some small dentsdings and scratches here and there and some surface rust on the roof where the paint is burnt through. The interior is in good shape except for the dash board. It has a small piece missing out of it and couple cracks which these old trucks were plagued with. Its an easy fix it just never bothered me enough to fix it.It has storage bins behind the seat which is nice.It did have tinted windows but I removed the tint off the 2 front windows but left it on the back window. The "Rock Crusher" transmission was not available on Dodge trucks after 1993 in the USA so this may be the only one in the country that is a 94 model with the NP-435 transmission. It is geared great for towing and city driving. There are a few things that the truck needs repaired but I have been driving it in its current condition with no issues..The shocks are original and they are worn out so it rides pretty rough right nowit has a little play in the steering and a little clunk sometimes going over bumps so Im guessing its the sway bar bushings or tie rod ends are due for replacementthe windshield wipers stopped working.I think the switch went bad but I havent messed with since I barely drive it.It also needs a new parking brake cable on the driver side rear brake. It was broken when I bought the truck but I have never had an issue just parking it in 1st gear.It looks like the rest of the parking break cable system is still there and is intact. There is a selenoid that is starting to go bad on the throttle body. Its the Idle controller I think.I noticed that it was a little hard to keep idling this winter until the engine warmed up for about a minute.Has not been an issue since the weather has warmed up but I heard buzzing a little bit the other day so that will need to be looked at also.Other than the minor repairs and maintenance listed above it is ready to go and can be driven to its new home.Or driven onto a trailer if you prefer to tow it. I do not have the original spare tire and wheel but I do have an extra wheel with a bad tire on it that I will include in the sale.I dont think I have the factory jack either.I will look and see if I have it.I had a small issue with the truck stalling last week.I had it looked at and it turned out that the fuel filter was clogged. It has been fixed and is now running strong again. If you have an questions please feel free to contact me.If you are local you are welcome to come see the truck in person before bidding.I do have a few conditions pertaining to this auction.DO NOT BID UNLESS YOU AGREE TO THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS!The buyer MUST send a $200 deposit through Paypal within 24 hours after the auction has ended. The remainder of the amount due is payable in CASH ONLY and IN PERSON when you pick up the truck. You will need to arrange to pick up this vehicle at my house in Greensboro North Carolina within 3 days after the end of the auction unless other arrangements are made BEFORE the auction is over. You can contact me through Ebay anytime if you have any questions. Please bid ONLY if you are a serious buyer with the cash in hand and can travel to Greensboro N.C to pick up the truck.
