Description for Eagle Talon 1991

6k miles on genuine rebuild
This is my 1991 Talon. I have several other cars and it's time for this one to go.
Everything works.
I have receipts for every part and repair. The car runs and drives brilliantly. ~6000 miles on professionalrebuild
The motor has been completely rebuilt. It is the original 6 bolt block bored .020 over. The crank was cut .010 under on the mains and rods, nitrided and put back in. The rods are brand new OE rods, and the pistons are .020 over 7.8:1 NPRs. It has perfect compression, exactly 160psi in each cylinder.
The cylinder head was rebuilt with new valves all around and a 3 angle job.
Auto transmission was rebuilt with new clutches, hard parts and installed a translab shift kit at the same time.
New timing belt and componentsNew water pumpBalance Shaft removed and kit installedNew Mitsu oil pumpNew coil packs, wires and plugsGenuine Greddy Type-S BOVHard upper IC piping
No real "mods". Never had a boost controller on it or any other go fast stuff. The drivetrain was rebuilt and never tinkered with. It had dsmlink, a wideband o2 and a boost gauge hooked up for the first 500 miles to make sure everything was perfect, and then all of that went back in the race car.
The turbocharger is a generic Evo 3 16G that was rebuilt with genuine MHI parts and sent out to G-pop for rebalancing. Spools quickly, has no shaft play, and uses zero oil.
It has KYB shocks and struts and 1.5" Megan lowering springs. Plenty of meat left on the brake pads and no vibrations or warpage in the rotors.
The white paint on the car is in fairly good shape. It was repainted and isn't perfect, but certainly good enough with no peeling or fading. From 10 feet it looks great. With a cut and buff it would look excellent. There are ahandful of dings on the car but it is pretty dang straight.
The black is all original and faded but not peeling.
The interior is totally unmolested with no holes from gauge mounting and the like. Relatively clean with no broken pieces and smells good. The seats front and back are in great condition.
The power seat belts both work. Power locks, mirrors and all accessories as well.
It is an AC car, but the pump, fan and lines were removed when the motor was reinstalled. I have them if you would like them, they functioned when pulled.
Overall, it is a mighty fine Talon. Not many left that look and drive this well. It will last a long time with the work that has been done to it.
A lot of time, money and effort was put into this car. The clean title is in hand ready to go. I want it to go to a good home
