Description for Pontiac Firebird 1979
For sale today is my 10th anniversary Trans Am. I have owned this vehicle for 3 years and have found it to be a very reliable and fun car to cruise around in or take on weekend trips. It gets a ton of attention wherever you go and is a blast to drive especially with the tops out. Unfortunately I need the garage space and don't have the heart to store it outside. so it is getting sold. I assume if you are here you don't need to hear all the specs on these 10th anniversary models. This one is the 403 /Automatic Transmission model. As far as the condition of this vehicle. it is in solid shape . The frame rails and floors are solid. as is the body. No rust visible on the exterior and no obvious bodywork visible either. It wears the correct two tone paint with correct emblems. The paint looks like an older job. but still shows very well and has a nice shine and gloss. There are a couple of nicks touched up and one ding on top of the left fender. As far as the interior. it is in really good shape. Seats and panels are original and still in good shape with no tears or wear through anywhere. The dash has a cover that looks good. the steering wheel needs recovered and the console lid is black instead of grey. These minor issues never really bothered me so I never addressed them. On the mechanical side. it is in good shape as well. Starts right up with no smoke or leaks. transmission shifts fine and it drives incredibly well for a 79 with good acceleration and no vibrations or pulls. I can't really think of anything it needs mechanically. even the tires are a matching set in good shape. I have driven this car to Chicago (5 hours each way) and New Orleans (9 hours) with no issues whatsoever. I tried to show everything with my pics but if you need something shown let me know. If you are looking for a nice toy to drive that's low maintenance and cheap to repair this would be a good choice. It really does draw attention everywhere it goes! I just read an article online that the 77-79 Trans Ams. especially the SEs and 10th annis are expected to really go up in value in the near future so buy one now at a great price while you can!
