Description for Ferrari Testarossa 19920000
1992 Ferrari 512TR, ed with tan interior, 2,880 milesThis is a gorgeous and a very nice example of one of the great Ferraris from the 1990s in the most traditional red/tan color combination. Less than 13,000 original miles and fantastic running condition with all of its servicing taken care of and current. The Testarossa was my dream care growing up and the 512TR offers so much more. This car is one of only about 400 imported into the United States over the 3-year production run and many of these are no longer around. This one was delivered new in Connecticut and remained with the original owner until an accident occurred in 2000 where the right side of the car was scraped along a highway guardrail. Fortunately, o frame or structural damage was done but the panels on the right side needed to be replaced at a major expense. The insurance company wrote the car off as being too expensive to fix under its policy and thus a salvage title was issued. The car was purchased by the next owner who had noted Ferrari guru Doug Pirrone of Berlinetta Motorsports in Huntington, Y do all of the excellent repair and paint work. The car was eventually purchased by a California buyer.I had owned several Ferraris but wanted something more visceral and raw and the TR ticked all of the right boxes. I had checked out six other 512TRs before happening upon this one in 2012. Despite the accident history, his was the best one I found and I have spared no expense in maintaining the car.The engine out major service was performed in mid-2012 and I have put less than 2,000 miles on the car since. The annual service was performed last year and new tires were also put on at the same time. The car runs perfectly, he air conditioning blows very cold even on extremely hot days, nd everyone gives a thumbs up or takes a cell phone picture just about every drive. The exhaust sound is incredible with the aftermarket Stebro system installed.I am happy to provide full details of the cosmetics, echanicals, ervicing, tc. to any interested parties. Car includes original tool kit, wner's manual set and pouch, hree car covers, ed/black neoprene seat and seat belt covers (never used these as they are not to my taste), riginal red satin w/ black prancing horse Ferrari seat and steering wheel storage/dust covers, xtra set of heavy duty brake pads, riginal Ferrari exhaust system, riginal black gearshift knob, nd maintenance records. This car does had a salvage/rebuilt history but it DOES HAVE A CLEAR CALIFORNIA TITLE. I understand the hesitation some buyers may have in purchasing a car with an accident history, owever I have priced the car to reflect this and this car belies its history on paper. Recent 512TR prices have ranged from $250,000 for cars with similar mileage to much higher. You won't find a nicer car with this type of mileage for anywhere near the price. Pre purchase inspection welcomed and suggested. I have no problem with the car being flat-bedded to any local shop/dealer of the buyer's choosing at their expense. Car is sold as is, here is with no warranties. On Sep-09-15 at 11:28:44 PDT, eller added the following information:1992 Ferrari 512TR, ed with tan interior, 2,880 miles

The car was just inspected/appraised last week and the report states "A very well maintained and cared for vehicle that drives even better than it looks. This is an excellent example of "old school" Ferrari hand craftsmanship that has few, inor, ge-appropriate issues. The exterior looks great with no sign of the prior passenger side sideswipe incident with repairs made to the highest of standards. The interior has few issues and all electronics operating as new. The engine bay and undercarriage are very clean no rust or evidence of prior or current fluid leaks. This 512TR performs as Ferrari's are meant to drive and handle."
