Description for Ferrari 328 1988

Here is your investment-grade 328 GTS! In classic Rossa Corsa and Tan, this fine automobile has covered just 26,250 miles from new, and has been fastidiously maintained by Patrick Ottis for the past 7 years. Prior to that, it was owned by Reggie Jackson, who had the car refreshed in 2009 right before he sold it, and the car has been driven just 9,000 miles since it was acquired from Mr. Jackson. With a fresh full belt service (which will be performed immediately prior to delivery to give the new owner maximum life of the new belt service), this automobile is one of the finest examples of the iconic Ferrari 328 GTS, yet it is ready to be driven and enjoyed while it continues to appreciate. Ferrari's line of highly successful V8-engined road cars began with the 308GT4 2+2 of 1973. The 308GT4 2+2s wedge-shaped styling - by Bertone rather than the customary Pininfarina - was not universally well received, but its performance certainly was, and a new two-seater car using the same power unit debuted in 1975. Built on a shorter wheelbase, the beautiful 308 GTB marked a welcome return to Pininfarina styling. The 308 was superseded by the mechanically similar but larger engined 328 in 1985. By increasing both bore and stroke, the quattrovalvole engine's capacity was raised to 3,186cc which, together with a higher compression ratio, revised pistons and an improved Marelli engine management system, lifted maximum power to 270bhp at 7,000rpm. Top speed was raised to within a whisker of 160mph (258km/h) with the sprint to 60mph covered in 5.5 seconds. On the outside, the addition of Testarossa-style moulded bumpers, a deeper rear valance and an optional roof spoiler could not disguise its underlying beauty. Motor magazine observed: "In our book, this is still the most beautiful of all contemporary exotics - a gorgeous looking car." This particular model, finished in classic and stunning Rossa Corsa with a Tan interior, needs nothing, and has been fastidiously maintained. With legendary ownership, always garaged and pampered, it provides an opportunity to own a very unique example of this stunning model. Complete with tools, cover, and all documentation
