I have owned this car for almost two years and it is an absolute pleasure to drive. It rides smoothly, uns quietly, nd turns heads absolutely everywhere I go. Park this next to a brand new Porsche and I guarantee you'll get more compliments. The classic Pininfarina design (same designer as many of the classic Ferrari's) is timeless, nd only gets better with age. Since I've owned it, have done quite a bit of work to keep it in great shape. I have replaced every suspension part (inner and outer tie rod ends, pper and lower ball joints, hocks, owering performance springs, nd more), ebuilt the alternator, eplaced the battery, nd a lot more. The top was replaced right before I bought it, nd it's in perfect shape with no leaks. All receipts are in the documentation included with the car.
The engine runs flawlessly. It starts up in 100 degree weather as well as 20 degree weather. The automatic choke works great.
It accelerates quite well with no misfiring or backfiring. Does wonderfully at interstate speeds. I drove it to Florida last year (2,000 miles round trip), nd I had zero issues. No smoking, urning, ard starting, r funny noises.
I'm including tons of spare parts if you'd like them. Some new, ome used. Being a driver rather than a showcar, t has a few cosmetic issues (light fog on the windshield corners, few small rust spots on the rocker panels {no rust on body}, ome patina on the burl walnut dashboard wood). Also has a small oil leak (I believe from the drain plug), ut it is in overall excellent condition.
If you intend to hotrod this car, lease don't buy it. This may be the only Fiat Spider with flawless documentation in existence and it deserves an owner that can afford the upkeep and intends to keep her in her original Italian charm.
