Fiat introduced the 500 Nuovo with enormous success. The Fiat 500 was a small two door 4 seater rear engine car that was built as a city car for the masses in Europe. The 500 Coupe’ sold alongside a station wagon version which also proved to be a successful seller for Fiat and the growing need in Europe for economy cars. The 2 cylinder engine proved to be a workhorse for Fiat and gave excellent fuel economy with proven longevity. The 500 continued in production until 1975 when it was replaced by the 126. The 126 never had the following the 500 did or does today. The original 500’s have become increasingly collectible and these little Fiat 500’s are excellent cars to add to collections or use for shows and club gatherings. European Motor Studio is proud to offer this exceptional 1971 Fiat 500L finished in an outstanding shade of Blue with a two toned White and Red interior with deep red carpets. This 500L was imported into the United States within the last few decades and has been beautifully restored. The Blue paint on the car is in outstanding condition and shows a beautiful deep luster. All of the trim and chrome show very well and are in excellent condition (the engine cover chrome piece is pitted). The sunroof appears to be new and operates and fits very well. The interior of the car is in excellent almost new condition. The seats covers appear to be new and all of the carpeting and trim look new (some small stains in the drivers foot well. will work on cleaning them up). The headliner and the rear tray all look brand new and untouched. All of the door panels and the side trims are in outstanding condition and show almost no signs of wear (the drivers interior door pull is broken). The center console and dashboard are all in outstanding condition and do not show any signs of wear or damage. The engine has been completely rebuilt and detail to a very nice standard. The engine starts right up and idles smoothly. The car shifts through all of its gears well and the clutch feels very smooth and free from any slipping or issues. The engine pulls exceptionally well and does not smoke or leak. The brakes feel very solid and free from any fade or grinding and the suspension feels very solid and precise. All of the interior and exterior lights appear to be working including the brake lights. turn signals. interior lights and the headlights. The tires appear to be new with excellent tread life left. The body of the car is laser straight and there are no signs of rust or corrosion anywhere on the car. The undercarriage is very clean and nicely detailed. This is a great opportunity to own an exceptional Fiat 500L that has been beautifully restored and exceptionally well kept. This 500L runs and drives beautifully and is definitely one of the nicer ones available.
