1979 Fiat X-1/9

Classic mid-engine Sports Car

Designed by Nuccio Bertone in Northern Italy in 1972

The X-1/9 was noted for its balanced handling, precise steering,

front and rear storage compartments,

and lightweight removable targa top.

Gear shift cable in console broke about ten years ago,

didn't get around to repair, had just purchased new tires.

Put into barn storage, now haven't time to repair.

Haven't tried to start car since storage,

mechanical condition unknown.

In as-is where-is condition with significant rust.

Has crackled/mottled paint finish,

and rat rod patina from barn storage.

One wheel has chip out of it, see photo.

Decklid hasp hinges rusted through, but

heavy spring seems to hold in place when latched.

Passenger side door panel warped.

Plastic fillerpiece behind front bumper missing.

Has newer Pioneer radio, original radio included.

Rare and attractive Carroll Shelby wheels.

Could be a great deal of fun again if repaired.
