Description for Fiat 124 Spider 1981
This bid is for a Classic 1981 Fuel Injected Fiat 124 Spider that has been carefully maintained by 4 owners since new. To start with, the car received a full Ziebart treatment when purchased new. It spent many of its years in the dry climate of Arizona before being purchased by the son of the second owner who had it transferred to the Atlanta, Ga area. With only 65,000 original miles, it retains its original interior which is in great condition and has absolutely no rust anywhere! There are no cracks or breaks in the dash. It received a repaint in 2000 by a very well-respected paint and body shop in Sahurita, Arizona. The paint and finish still looks excellent as the car has always been garaged. As its 4th owner, I had the car completely detailed by Larry at First Sight Auto Detail and Paintless Dent Remover. Larry is a highly regarded detail specialist who did an amazing job removing several small dings and detailing the body. It looks amazing! In addition to having the car fully detailed, I replaced the convertible top with a new Robbins Stayfast top sold by Midwest Bayless. This is a premium product that looks great and fits perfectly. I also replaced all ball joints and tie rod ends including the center link in order to restore the steering and handling to its original standards. The car then received a full 4-wheel alignment as well as 4-wheel balancing (performed with the wheels and tires on the car) by Grand Turismo East in Atlanta Ga. These guys are the gold standard when it comes to setting up suspensions on classic cars. This Spider drives and handles like the day it rolled out of the showroom. Although not needed for at least another 15000 miles, I have a new timing belt and tensioner that goes with the car.You can go to YouTube link to see more about this beautiful car.https://youtu.be/9mefCODZcG8
