Description for Fiat 500 1972
1972 Fiat 500
(The original Micro car)
Complete ground up restoration done in Italy
This beautiful classic Fiat 500 is part of my personal collection. The car had a complete ground up restoration in Italy (Via Fornace, Province of Como, Italy). Please refer to the picture of the car under restoration. The car was brought to the U.S. and I have only put very few miles on it over the last two years.
The car looks like brand new and runs perfect. The only thing that was done to it in the last few months was an oil and filter change (Mobile 1), new battery, and four brand new Michelin tires that I special ordered from Europe.
The car comes with its original 2 cylinder engine and 4 speed transmission. Even though the car is micro sized, a six foot person (such as myself) can sit in it very comfortably as you can stretch your legs all the way under the dashboard.
The car has an original white pushback vinyl sunroof, and it also has an extra sunroof in black.
I purchased many new parts for future just in case I need them while in the U.S. I estimate that just the cost of all these new parts is over $3,000. Even though these new parts are not needed for this car right now, they give one comfort that parts will be on hand if and when needed. All these new parts go with the car and will not be sold separately.
All the documentation for the car is done, and has a clear Texas title. In my opinion, this is one of the cleanest classic Fiat 500s that I have ever seen.
All the inspections must be done before the auction closes.
Remember that this classic sport car is 47years old. Please remember that things always look better in pictures. So you are more than welcome to come see it in person.
