Description for Fiat Other 1972
For your consideration is this 1972 Fiat 850 Spider. White over Red Interior. I purchased this vehicle in December of '17 from what I believe to be the 3rd owner. I believe the vehicle originated in Idaho, eventually making its way to Eastern Washington where it was stored inside a barn. The vehicle was purchased, and shipped to Oregon to undergo mechanical restoration by the previous owner. When I purchased the vehicle it was in running condition, but I immediately dropped it off at Europa Motors in Portland, OR. I had them address every mechanical aspect of the car. The following is a list of what was completed. This Fiat runs very well and is a bast to drive. The idle has a tendency to wander a bit depending on the outside temperature. A new carb is included with purchase (including gaskets) to address this issue. When the outside temperature is very hot, the clutch will occasionally chatter when disengaged. Mechanic says the clutch looks good. Video link below of this Fiat driving... It appears as if the exterior did have a re-shoot at some point. There are dings, dents, scratches, and flaky paint. The interior has some tears in the seats and expected wear and tear of a 46 year old car. The odometer is not working, but the trip odometer functions as designed. The car show 42k miles, but obviously this is not accurate. My guess is the cable deteriorated during storage. Overall, this a solid body and chassis and everything is 'there', so if one chose to restore the aesthetics, it would be fairly easy to do:) Drive as is with beautiful patina, or refurbish. Please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions. The vehicle is for sale locally, so I reserve the right to end the auction early.
